Diane R. Russo – Campbell

Russo – Campbell, who passed away on September 19th at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, following a brief illness, she was 70 years old. Her funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 29th at 11:00 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass in Blessed Mother of the Morning Star Parish – St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 670 Washington Ave. Revere at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
Diane was born on October 7, 1951, to her late parents, Angelo & Rose (Juliano) Russo. She was one of three children & was raised & educated in Everett. She was an alumna of Everett High School, Class of 1969. During her senior year of high school, the family moved to Revere. Diane furthered her education by completing her Nursing Program and becoming a Registered Nurse. In 1973, Diane married Richard Campbell. The couple resided in Revere, then moved to North Andover, then settling in Haverhill. Diane worked at the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center for over 20 years as an ER Nurse. She then took a position as a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston in adult medicine. She retired with a career spanning 40 years of nursing. Diane biggest joy she had in life, was her daughter Jessica. Diane worked full time and always made time to be a fun loving & nurturing mother to her pride & joy. She cherished the wonderful relationship she had with her daughter and all the fun they shared with one another. It was Diane’s inspiration that allowed Jessica to pursue her career in Nursing as well. Diane also enjoyed traveling with her husband Richie as well as her tight knit group of lifelong friends whom she treasured dearly. Her life and her memory will always have a place in the many hearts she’s touched.
She is the beloved wife of 40 years to the late Richard P. “Richie” Campbell. Loving & proud mother of Jessica A. Campbell & her companion Robert A. McCann of Methuen. Dear sister of Denise “Dede” Badolato & her husband John M. Sr. of Tewksbury & the late Angelo Russo, Jr. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, friends & extended family.

Kevin was born in Boston to his late parents, Vito Citino, Jr. & Doris Alberta (Wilson) Citino, one of four children. He was raised & educated in Revere. He attended the Immaculate Conception Grammar School, then went onto Revere High School. Kevin, early on knew that he liked working with his hands. He became a carpenter and through the years he mastered his craft and became an excellent carpenter and worked for himself most of his life, He thoroughly enjoyed fixing & repairing things. He also enjoyed listening to music, playing darts & going fishing. He always participated in his children lives & their activities that they were involved in.
He is the beloved father of Brenda R. Citino & her husband Eddie Irizarry of Winthrop, Anthony R. Citino of Revere, & Nicole F. Citino & her companion Robert Miscioscia of Everett. He is the cherished grandfather of Andres Irizarry of Winthrop, Daniel J. Cooke & fiancé Leiana Rogers of Everett, Aryanna Irizarry of Winthrop, Christopher L. Citino of Everett, & Dominic F. Citino of Everett & great grandfather of Cecilia Catherine. He is the dear brother of Laurel F. Costello & her husband Robert “Bob” of Revere and the late Dolores A. Walsh & her husband Charles, & Richard J. Citino. He is the devoted longtime companion of Bernadette “Bernie” Moore of Revere. He is also lovingly survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, & many cousins.

Wayne W. Wellington

Wayne was a native of St. Catherine, Jamaica where he was born & raised. He came to the United States with his family as a teenager, and was a proud alumnus of Boston English High School, Class of 2005. Wayne worked in the food service industry, and he became a line cook. He worked for Corporate Chef. Wayne’s proudest moment in his life was becoming a father, to his beautiful son, Tristan M. Wellington. Wayne was a loving & kind person, who always greeted you with the biggest smile. Wayne’s life impacted so many people who cared & loved him.
He is the beloved son of Doreen E. Reid of New Bedford & the late Constantine Wellington. Loving father of Tristan M. Wellington of Revere. Devoted companion of Brittany M. Maggio & her parents Mark & Susan Maggio, all of Revere. Cherished brother of Richard Brown of Beverly, Odell Wellington of New Bedford, Kelso Brown & his companion Sarith Phat of Revere & Keel Wellington of Fall River. Adored uncle of Omarey, Lidia, Maxwell, & Michael. He is also lovingly survived by many aunts, uncles, colleagues & friends.

William A. Dennis, Sr.

William A. Dennis, Sr., beloved husband of the late Jean S. (Callahan) Dennis of Swampscott with whom he shared 67 years of marriage, passed away peacefully on September 15th surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Lynn, son of the late John H. Dennis and Mary E. (Mulligan) Dennis. He graduated from Lynn English High School and Boston College. After college Bill enlisted in the Army before starting his career at General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, MA, where he worked for more than 35 years. He was a member of The Friendly Knights of St. Patrick and was proudly named Irishman of the Year in 2006. A member of Catholic Charities for over 50 years, serving as a board member after his retirement, was a strong indicator of how important his faith and giving back to the community was to him. He was a member of the Lynn Knights of Columbus for 40 years. He was most dedicated to his family, especially his wife Jean, who passed away 16 days before Bill, ever the gentleman he held on until she was put to rest. Bill was actively involved in raising his six children with Jean and serving as mentor, coach, encouraging music lessons, art lessons, skiing, hiking and camping which he carried through to all his grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to music, going for long walks, gardening, crossword puzzles, construction projects and spending time with family and friends. He was a generous man who smiled easily and laughed often. He was a great example for everyone and on how to live your life.
Bill was the proud father of six children, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and their spouses: Catherine and Jack Glencross of Lynnfield, Mary Anderson and the late Phil Anderson of Lynnfield, William A. Dennis, Jr. of Stuart, FL, the late Margaret Dennis, Carolyn and Michael Gallagher of Topsfield, and James Dennis of Swampscott and his fiancée Brenda Supino of Lynnfield. He was loved by all his grandchildren: Erin and Brian Morin, John Glencross, Kristin and Nick Faivre, Phil and Ashley Anderson, the late Dean Michael Dennis and his fiancée Amanda Langan, Patrick William Dennis and Anna Jean Dennis, Michael Gallagher and his fiancée Madison Gleason, Allyson, Julie, and Tara Gallagher He was the proud great grandfather of Tyler James Dennis and Emma Madeline Dennis, Philip and Joseph Anderson, Violet and Vincent Faivre and Benjamin Morin. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved siblings Helen Dennis and Philip Dennis.

Giuseppe “Joe” – “Charlie” Todaro
Family & friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, September 18th, from 4-7 pm in the Vertuccio & Smith home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt.107) Revere for Giuseppe “Joe” “Charlie” Todaro who died peacefully in the loving presence of his family on Thursday, September 15th at his home in Saugus following a brief illness, he was 95 years old. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home at 9:30 am on Monday, September 19th followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 am in Blessed Sacrament Church 14 Summer St. Saugus, MA. Immediately followed by interment in Puritan lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Peabody.
Giuseppe was a native of Sciacca, Sicily, where he was the oldest of two children of the late Francesco & Grazia (Taormina) Todaro. He left Sicily when he was in his thirties and settled with family in Queens, NY. He met his lovely wife Lucy (Puleo) through mutual friends in Boston where Lucy resided. They later married in March of 1966. They moved to Queens, NY and two years later moved back to East Boston and later settled in Everett. Giuseppe was a devoted husband, father & loving family man, who was a very hard worker since the age of 14 when his father died, and he had to provide for his mother and sister. When he moved to Boston, he worked at the South Boston meat market and later worked until 80 years old at Viking Seafood in Malden, where he was a fish packer. He later moved to Saugus to live with his daughter & her family. He liked to garden and enjoyed fixing cars whether his own or family. The most cherished aspect of his life was family, that is what mattered most to him & gave him the most happiness.
He is the beloved husband of the late Lucy (Puleo) Todaro of 40 years. The loving father of Graceann Cirame & husband John of Saugus. The cherished Papa of Joseph C. Cirame & Isabella L. Cirame both of Saugus. He is the dear brother of late Rosa Fazio of Italy. Also lovingly survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, & grandnephews and Susan Viera, friend, and caretaker.

Muriel E. (Carpenter) Roos
Muriel Elsie (Carpenter) Roos, passed away on Sunday, September 11th at the Newbridge on the Charles Nursing Facility. Muriel died peacefully and was found in a manner that shows her true spirit; she was found kneeling by her bedside, all showered and done up as if going to church-undoubtedly praying to Jesus, she was 94 years old.
Muriel was born in Chelsea on November 21st, 1927, to her late parents, Orlando Carpenter & Florence May (Parsons) Jones. Muriel is the loving mother of Dianne Nowell & late husband Paul Nowell of Stoneham, Donna Schiller & husband Stephen Schiller of Weymouth, and Judy Russi & husband Lawrence “Larry” Russi of Revere. Muriel was a cherished grandmother of Skipper Carino, Matthew Carino & wife Genevieve Phelps, Audra DeBaets & husband Kevin DeBaets, Amanda Schiller, Coralie Russi & husband Joseph “Joe” Agron, and Sarah Russi. Adored great-grandmother of Shane, Davey, Karina, Adam, Mia, and Alexander. Dear sister of the late Margery L. Warford, Doris Carlino, & June Semon. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.
Muriel was raised and educated in Everett and later lived in Malden at the Heritage Senior Building before living at the Jack Satter house on Revere Beach. She was formerly married to Harold P. Roos, with whom she began her family. She was a devoted housewife and mother of three daughters. She worked various jobs while raising her girls, later holding a job she adored as a Customer Service Representative at the Bible Gift Shop located in Maplewood Square in Malden a place for her to evangelize to others when she wasn’t busy taking the train into Downtown Crossing to tell people about Jesus. Muriel was a woman with profound faith, known by many as a “prayer warrior”. She would often pray for people and minister to the homeless and help encourage people who were downtrodden by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her family looked to her for strength, wisdom, & guidance because she was a strong, loving, and faithful mother, grandmother, and friend. Muriel was a member of many churches and a devout supporter of ministries and outreaches. She never missed an opportunity to usher someone up to an “Altar Call”-to give themselves to the Lord. Having met Muriel means having been asked, “Do you know Jesus?”. As the trumpets sound off in heaven for the arrival of a new Queen Muriel, let us all remember one of her favorite verses, “16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16-17)

(Rigano) Giordano, who died on Thursday, September 8th at the Melrose – Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, following a one year valiant & defiant battle with lung cancer, she was 71 years old. Linda was born to her late parents, Basil & Nancy (Caruso) Rigano in Malden. She was raised & educated in Malden and attend Malden Public Schools. She was married to her former husband, Gerald L. Giordano, Sr. and moved to Revere where she raised her two children. Linda was a proud mother and also worked, at times, two jobs to support her family. She was extremely hardworking, fun loving & always ready for fun. She worked as a bartender at the Shipwreck Lounge on Revere Beach, working there for 40 years until they closed their doors. She later worked at the Keno Counter at Santarpio’s Restaurant in Peabody, until her health declined. Linda cherished her family and adored her grandchildren, more than life itself. She had many fond & special relationships with many close friends and family. She loved listening to country music and going to any casino or beach. She was also a fabulous baker and she always enjoyed sharing her treats with those she loved. Although her health declined, it didn’t stop her will to live and fight. She even worked during her illness and being around people was the best medicine for her, especially her family, she fought hardest for them. Her presence, bright smile, & her sense of humor, will live on in each of those who loved her.
She is the loving mother of Renee L. Rodriguez & her husband Jamie, Sr. of Malden & Gerald “Jerry” Giordano, Jr. of Tampa, Florida. She is the cherished & proud nana of Janae M. Rodriguez, Jordan L. Rodriguez, both of Malden, Jamie M. Rodriguez, Jr. & wife Marissa of Winthrop, Gabrielle Giordano & Ariel Weatherbee both of Exeter, New Hampshire. She is the dear sister of Deborah Sica & her husband Richard of Malden, Basil Rigano, Jr. & his wife Andrea of Malden, Joanne Centrella of Tewksbury, Nancy Rigano of Malden, Angelo Rigano of Reading and the late Santi Rigano, Sr. & Anne Louise Corapi. She is the treasured aunt of Malden City Councilor Jadeane Sica of Malden, who was her caregiver for several years. She is also lovingly survived by her godchildren, Joe Centrella of Chester, New Hampshire and Arianna Rigano-Kelley of Malden, & many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews, her Aussie Poo “Cassie” & the late Lasso Apso “Bella Dora” whom she loved unconditionally.

Joe was born in Everett, and he was raised & educated in Revere. Joe worked as an auto mechanic all of his working career. He worked at Atamian Ford Dealership in Boston for many years and later at Hertz Car Rental. He was a master mechanic, and his skill set allowed him to fix any type of automobile. He was also extremely handy and was able to do carpentry work as well. He enjoyed staying busy by fixing or repairing things. Joe loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a dedicated hardworking family man.
He is the devoted husband of 21 years to Deborah L. (Kenney) Ritchie of Revere. Loving father of Sherry A. Rose & her husband Wayne D. of Revere, Frederick E. Landers & his wife Tara of Scottstown, OH, Jay Strangman & his wife Jennifer of North Reading, Shawn Strangman & wife Tracey of Haverhill, and Jenna Busick & husband Daniel of Raymond, NH. Cherished papa of 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one more on the way. He is the surviving brother of 5 late brothers & sisters. Linda J. (Cannarozzo) Monaco
Funeral Services were conducted in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals for Linda J. (Cannarozzo) Monaco, who passed away on August 29th following a hard-fought battle with ALS. She was 68 years of age.
Born in Chelsea, she was raised in Somerville before the family settled in Revere. She attended Revere schools and was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1972. Following graduation, Linda continued her education attending and completing courses at the IBM School for Computing. She took her new skills and soon entered the workforce. She worked for Gillette in their corporate offices in the Prudential Center for a number of years until she began her family. Linda dedicated herself to her family, raising her 5 boys. Linda loved being surrounded by her family, especially her children and her grandchildren. Her nurturing nature drew her to children, and she especially loved being around babies. She was happiest simply being around family and she enjoyed watching football and was a fan of Patrick Mahomes. She also loved to walk, listen to music, and loved cats. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She is the beloved daughter of Vincenzo Cannarozzo of Revere & the late Mary C. (Iovanna) Cannarozzo. Devoted mother of James A. Monaco & his wife Jennifer of Oakland, CA, Anthony J. Anna I. (Alba) McCarthy

(Alba) McCarthy, who died on Monday September 5th at the Massachusetts General Hospital following a brief illness, she was 92 years old. Interment will immediately follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Anna was born in Medford to her late parents, Alphonso & Pauline (Bellitti) Alba, she was one of five children. She was raised & educated in Revere and was an alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1948. In 1953, Anna married her husband John A. “Mac” McCarthy. The couple remained in Revere where they happily raised their two children and made a loving home for them. Anna worked as a bookkeeper at McCarthy & Sons Dairy Products. Anna managed working fulltime, raising her children, and making sure everything at home was fastidious. In 1992, she lost her dear husband, and her son took over the family business and she continued to carry on her bookkeeping duties. Anna always enjoyed being with her friends off doing something fun. She was an avid bowler, card player, gardening and cleaning & decorating her home. Anna’s energy was endless, the more she did the happier she was. Anna’s love that she demonstrated to her family & friends was profound & will never be forgotten.
She is the beloved wife of the late John A. “Mac” McCarthy, Sr. Loving mother of Robin A. McCarthy & John A. McCarthy, Jr., both of Revere. Grandmother of Ryan J. McCarthy of Revere. Sister of Benjamin Alba & his wife Ann of Revere, and the late Anthony Alba, Eleanor Aiello & Mary R. Cardillo. She is also lovingly survived by her precious canine companions, Chelsey, Nicki, & Sienna and many nieces & nephews.
