Paolo Cordio
Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, September 4th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) REVERE, for Paolo Cordio, who passed on Wednesday, September 2nd at his Revere residence, following a brief illness. His funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Saturday, September 5th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere at 10:30 a.m.
Born & raised in Palermo, Sicily, Italy, he came to live in the USA in 1963, moving to East Boston for a brief time, before moving to Revere in 1965. He & his beloved wife, Costanza (DiBella) Cordio, have lived in the Beachmont section for over 52 years. All of his working career was as a Stone Mason. He was a member of the International Union of Laborers & Bricklayers, Local #3, for over fifty years. He retired in 1985.
He is the devoted father of, Maria Cordio-Frenna & her husband, Francesco “Frank” Frenna of Methuen & Francesco “Frank” Cordio of Haverhill. He is also lovingly survived by five 5 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews in Italy & Argentina. Entombment will be in the Woodlawn Community Mausoleum (Sheffield Building), Everett
