Pasqualina M. “Lena” (Buonopane) Symonds
Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, December 1st, 2013 at Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, from 4 – 8 p.m. for Pasqualina M. “Lena” (Buonopane) Symonds, who died at her Revere residence on Wednesday, November 27th following a long illness, at 86 years. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, December 2nd at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere, at 10:30 a.m. Born & raised in East Boston, she attended East Boston schools. For many years, “Lena” worked in Boston’s Garment District as a lead stitcher. Later, she worked & retired from an East Boston firm. The family moved from East Boston to Revere in 1959. She is the wife of the late James E. Symonds. She is the cherished mother of Patricia M. Goodwin & her husband Timothy of Marblehead, & Angela R. Snow of Revere. She is the devoted grandmother of: Nichole R. Snow-Dawson & her husband Thomas of Salem, MA, Howard J. Snow & his companion Ashley Constantine of Revere, & Christina R. Goodwin of Marblehead. She is the dear sister of Joseph A. Buonopane of Rockland & the late: Vincent P., Anthony & John N. Buonopane. She is also lovingly survived by her sisters-in-law, Helene Buonopane of Wakefield & Susan “Sue” Buonopane of Rockland, & many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, & grand-nephews. She was also the daughter of the late, Vincent Buonopane & Filomena (Tecci) Buonopane-Masiello. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
