Patricia K. (Gill) Hanlon-Vaccaro

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, December 30th, 2013 in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere beginning at 9 a.m. for Patricia K. (Gill) Hanlon-Vaccaro, who died on Thursday, December 26th following a long illness at Boston’s Massachusetts General Hospital, at 86 years.  The visitation will be followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere at 11 a.m., followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Born & raised in Revere, “Patsy” as she was affectionately known, was a 1944 alumna of Revere High School.  “Patsy” served as a bartender in local restaurants & also was a salesperson in retail in her working career.  She was the wife of the late, Sarro J. “Butch” Vaccaro & Thomas J. Hanlon, Jr.  She is the cherished mother of Donna P. Buckley & her late husband Paul J. Buckley of Revere, Thomas J. Hanlon, III & his wife Mary of Fairfax Station, VA, Denise Jones & her late husband Howard F. Jones, Jr. of Revere, & William F. Hanlon of Revere.  She is the devoted grandmother of Paul J. Buckley & Sean P. Buckley both of Revere, Kelley Pisaturo of Plymouth, Shannon Chiesa & her husband Steven of Malden, Brian T. Hanlon of San Francisco, CA, Alison K. & Kevin J. Hanlon both of Fairfax, VA, Howard F. Jones, III of Medford, Tara Maranian & her husband Jeffrey of Watertown, Jamie K. & Torin Hanlon both of Saugus.  She was the dear sister of the late William F. Downes, Jr.  She is also lovingly survived by Denise’s fiancee, Louis DiDonna of Medford, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, & several nieces & nephews.  Patsy was also the daughter of the late, William F. Gill & Katherine P. (Doherty) Gill-Downes.

Funeral Mass

Monday, December 30th, 2013 at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere.

Interment

Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
