Paul M. Jensen

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, February 1st from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) REVERE, for Paul Marius Jensen, who died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 27th after being stricken at his Revere home & rushed to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. His funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Friday, February 2nd at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m., and immediately followed by interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody.

A life-long Revere resident, Paul was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1955. Immediately following graduation, he entered the Army National Guard, at which he completed a thirty-nine (39) year military career as a Master Mechanic, retiring in July of 1997. Paul’s family was the pinnacle of his life’s activity. As a principal caregiver, to his late wife, Mary L. (Griggers) Jensen, Paul gave Mary the essence of loving care for over ten (10) years, dealing with the unfortunate progress of Alzheimer’s disease. Mary passed on April 25, 2013. He is the cherished father of John D. Cutillo & his fiancée, Jennifer A. Mahoney of Revere. Within the scriptures, the authors of the various books, remind us of the rewards and everlasting blessings, one receives in light of their devotion to their parents. In the Third Chapter of the Book of Sirach, The Lord reminds us; ”My son, take care of your father, be considerate with him; for kindness to a father will not be forgotten. It will serve as a sin offering, it will take lasting root. In time of tribulation, it will be recalled to your advantage, like warmth upon frost, it will melt away your sins.”

He is the devoted brother of Beverly B. Hall and her late husband Richard Hall of Topsfield & Diane P. Lindquist & her husband, Francis J. “Frank” Lindquist of Ipswich. He is also lovingly survived by Carolyn Catinazzo & her husband, former Revere Agent for the Board of Health, Nicholas R. Catinazzo of Revere, Linda E. Shaughnessy & her husband, Richard of Millbury, Frank Cutillo, Jr. of California & Robert Cutillo & his wife, Christine of Folkston, Georgia. Paul also leaves six adoring grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren.

    John and Jen,

I am so very sorry for your loss. I know how you cared for your dad! I am so happy to have met him and both of you and we were able to assist him with Veteran services. He gave a life time of service to our Country and the Mass National Guard, for which we are all grateful.

May this soldier rest in peace….

To all our families, friends, and residents of Revere, East Boston, and surrounding communities of the North Shore,

We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.
On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
Thank you for your friendship and continued support.
God bless you all.
Faithfully,

Your friends at Vertuccio Smith and Vazza.
