Paula Greene Sarcia

Paula Greene Sarcia, passed away on Thursday, May 28th at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. She was 62 years of age.

Born in Winthrop, she was a lifelong resident of Revere. She attended Revere schools and was graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1975. She continued her education enrolling in Marion Court College and graduated in 1977. Paula began her career as a City of Revere employee as a 911 call taker. She rose quickly within the ranks and was promoted to Administrative Assistant. Upon the appointment of Christopher Bright as Revere Fire Chief, she held the position of Administrative Assistant to the Fire Chief until her untimely passing. Her passions, following her family, were skiing & travel. She also enjoyed camping with the family on many numerous occasions. She and her husband traveled often and widely throughout Europe but also enjoyed the excitement and beauty of Aruba.

She is the beloved wife of the late Revere Firefighter Roger W. Sarcia, who passed on March 28, 2018. Cherished daughter of Helen L. (Olsen) Greene of Revere & the late John J. “Jack” Greene. Devoted mother of USAF Master Sgt. Rachel L. Wagner of Bedford, Jennifer L. Hubbard & her husband Joseph A. Hubbard of Seabrook, NH, Revere Firefighter Kristopher T. Sarcia & his girlfriend Alison Weigl of Revere, USAF Staff Sgt. John J. Sarcia of Hickam Air Force Base, HI. Adored grandmother to Kaleigh L., Aiden J. & Brennan J. Hubbard & Korbin R. & Kensley S. Wagner. Dear sister of Patricia F. “Patti” Kane & her husband Richard I. of Nahant, Thomas P. Greene & his wife Noreen of Arlington & the late John J. Greene, Jr. Special niece to  Virginia “Ginger” Tuite of Revere & faithful aunt to Ryan R. Kane of Nahant. She is also lovingly survived by many other nephews, nieces & cousins.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, Funeral Services will be held privately.

Rather than flowers, the family sincerely asks that you take the time to render an act of kindness to a deserving person or organization in memory of Paula.

    I’m heartbroken to hear about Paula. She was such a good friend and colleague. She always greeted me with a big hug, and she couldn’t wait to show me pictures of her beloved grandchildren. She was so proud of her sons and daughters. I will truly miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. God bless

    We are so sad to hear of Paula’s passing. She always kind and fun when I was growing up. Many fond memories of her, the Greene family, and my Sarcia cousins. Our families might have drifted apart lately but the memories will live on forever. Love to the Sarcia’s and Greene’s

    Anthony and I are so sad to hear of Paula’s passing. She was such a wonderful and beautiful person. She was such a devoted Mom and adored her children and grandchildren. She was an asset to the Fire Department. Paula was loved by all members of her firefighter family. Our sincere condolences to the Sarcia and Greene family.

Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
