Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, February 20th from 9 to 10 a.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Phyllis M. (Ferraro) Bialecki, who died on February 10th at the Melrose – Wakefield Hospital, at 99 years. A funeral mass will be celebrated following the visiting hours at 10:30 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) Revere. Born in Claremont, New Hampshire, the family settled in Revere when Phyllis was a small child. She was educated in the Revere Public Schools. In 1935, Phyllis got married to Henry S. Bialecki. She made her home in Revere, and began her family, having one son, Joseph. She loved being a mother and taking care of her home. Phyllis was known to enjoy life and spending time with her family. Phyllis worked at Almy’s Department Store in Revere for over five years. She is the wife of the late Henry S. Bialecki of whom she shared 51 years of marriage with. She is the loving mother of Joseph J. Bialecki & his wife Theresa J. of Danvers & Florida. She is the cherished grandmother of Mary O. Miele & her husband Michael, Gerald J. Bialecki & his wife Kelly & Jean M. Donovan & her husband John. She is the cherished great grandmother of Shawn Mielle, Joseph Bialecki, Andrew Bialecki, Nicholas & Calli Donovan. She is the beloved sister of Ann Ruzzo of Revere & the Late John & James Ferraro. Also lovingly survived by several nieces & nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews & cousins. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, Make A Wish Foundation of MA & RI, One Bulfinch Place, Suite 201, Boston, MA 02114-2031.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
