Raffaele “Ralph” A. Rizzo

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Tuesday, June 1st, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Vertuccio and Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) REVERE for Raffaele A. “Ralph” Rizzo, who died on Wednesday, May 26th at the Massachusetts General Hospital after a long battle with liver disease, he just celebrated his 43rd birthday on May 5th. A funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 2nd at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) REVERE at 10:30 a.m., followed with interment in Woodlawn cemetery, Everett.

Ralph was born in Malden, raised & educated in Revere. He was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1996. Ralph worked as a Fleet Service Clerk at Boston Logan Airport for 14 years and later took a position at Sign-O-Rama in a parttime capacity, unfortunately, he was forced to leave due to his declining health. Ralph was married to his wife, Melissa Chiet, on May 24th, 2008 & the couple remained in Revere, where they raised their twin daughters together. Ralph was a dedicated husband & father. He adored his children and was a wonderful brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and friend. Ralph loved Rock & Roll bands and he learned to play the guitar and would play many of his favorite songs. He also was a Tattoo enthusiast and appreciated the art aspect of the tattoos. He will be missed, he will be remembered, and he will always be loved.

He is the devoted husband of Melissa (Chiet) Rizzo. Loving father of Jeannette Rosemarie Rizzo & Melinda Grace Rizzo. Cherished son of Ermelindo & Maria (Mantia) Rizzo. Adored brother of Anthony G. Rizzo, Giovanni “John” Rizzo & Linda M. Fillion & husband David, all of Revere. Treasured grandson of Rosalia Mantia & the late Antonio “Nino” Mantia of Revere and Raffaele Rizzo & the late Maria Grazia of Revere. He is also lovingly survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

    Ralph will be missed and I am so sorry for the loss of this soft spoken amazing man. I met Ralph in 2013 . He was working at six gun music in Saugus. This man was a sweet man I tell you . Soft spoken and loved his family. Ralph and I hit it off and we became friends. He was a guitarist as was I he would always ask me about some Black Sabbath riffs. Ralph was also a fantastic Guitar Tech as he was my tech on a few occasions . Ralph , Gold bless you and watch over your wife and daughters and rest easy my friend
