Rita L. (Quinlan) Kehoe
Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, February 3rd, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Rita L. (Quinlan) Kehoe who died on Wednesday, January 28th at Mass General Hospital, Boston following brief illness on the eve of her 82nd birthday. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, February 4th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) Revere. Rita was born & raised in Revere, she attended Immaculate Conception Schools & was an alumna of the Class of 1951. After graduating, Rita went to work for New England Tel. & Tel. as an “Operator” In June of 1954 she married Joseph R. Kehoe, a love that lasted a life. The couple remained in Revere and began their family, raising 6 children. Rita loved being a wife and mother. She was dedicated to her family, always giving of herself and providing her family with an endless abundance of love. She was active in her children’s lives as well as her community. One other important aspect of Rita’s life was her faith, in which she was a devotee of the Immaculate Conception Parish. Rita was a member of the Immaculata Guild, as well as the Women’s Bowling Team, The Smart Set Seniors and the Mothers Club. She enjoyed spending her time with her family & treasured her time with her grandchildren in later years. She is the devoted & loving wife of Joseph R. Kehoe of Revere, of whom she shared 60 years of marriage with. She is the cherished mother of Joseph E. Kehoe & Francesca M. of Upton, Cheryl A. Frye & Robert of Revere, Marie L. Kehoe & companion K.C. Cockrill of Natick, James M. Kehoe & his wife Doreen of Stoneham, Patricia E. Casey & her husband William F. of Billerica & John R. Kehoe of Albuquerque, NM. She is the adored grandmother of 12 loving grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren She is the beloved sister of Frances Davis of Hyde Park and the late Seaman 1st Class James F. Quinlan, Jr., U.S. Navy WWII, & Robert A. Quinlan. Also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
