Robert H. “Bobby” Bagley

At 74 years, formerly of East Boston, in Winthrop, December 23rd, following a valiant year long struggle with Mesothelioma. Beloved son of the late Atty. William M. Bagley, Sr. & Grace E. (Snow) Bagley. Devoted father of Robert H. “Robbie” Bagley, Jr. & his wife, Marguerite, David J. Bagley & his fiancée, Erica Abruzzese, all of Saugus & Jennifer R. Bagley & her partner, Mary W. Hewey of Jamaica Plain. Dear brother of Dottie R.Goodwin & her husband, Robert H. of Melrose, Atty. F. Dillon Bagley & his wife, Paula J. of Winchester, MA & Naples, FL, Thomas R. Bagley of Melrose, Patricia G. Granara & her husband, Richard A. of Wakefield & Manalapan, FL, formerly of Melrose & the late William M. Bagley, Jr. Cherished grandfather of Angelee N. & Sabrina E.G. Bagley, both of Saugus. Also lovingly survived by his sister-in-law, Carol A. Vahey-Bagley of Florida & many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews & faithful cousins.

Family & friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) REVERE, on Saturday, December 28th at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., REVERE at 11:00 a.m. Visiting Hours are Friday, December 27th in the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Parking available left of the funeral home. Interment is private.

Bobby was a member of the Marines Reserve & served during the Vietnam Era. Member of the Retired Boston Police Patrolman’s Association & one of the founders & members of St. Mary-Star of the Sea Men’s Club.

Saturday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere

Interment

Will be Private

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital, Cancer Research Institute, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
