Robert M. Iudica

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Thursday, January 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt. 107) REVERE for Robert M. Iudica, who died on Monday, January 6th at the Massachusetts General Hospital after being stricken at his home on December 23rd, the day after celebrating his 85th birthday. A Funeral Mass follow the visitation in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., REVERE at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Robert was born & raised in East Boston. He was educated in Boston Public Schools and he attended East Boston High School. Robert began a 35+ year career as a truck driver for the Boston Shipyard in East Boston. He was married for 60 years to Phyllis R. (Cimino). The couple resided in East Boston for many years, then later moving to Revere, and for the past 18 years they lived in Saugus. He loved spending time with family & always having a good time. He was a very proud Life-time Member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks #1078, Winthrop, MA.

He is the beloved husband of 60 years to Phyllis R. (Cimino) Iudica of Saugus. Loving father of Deborah A. Zaccaria of Reading & her late husband Anthony M. “Tony” Zaccaria, Paul Tango & his wife Cheryl of Cape Coral, FL, Robert Tango of Woburn & Roseann Tango of Chelsea. Cherished grandfather of Robert Tango & Christopher Tango & his wife Sarah, all of FL, Robert Tango & wife Christina of N.H., Lisa Zaccaria of Saugus and the late Michelle Zaccaria, Gregory Tango & Jason Tango. Adored great-grandfather of Brenna, Jack, and Abagail & Lucas. Dear brother of the late Lilian Iudica, Dorothy D’Ettore, Anthony Iudica & Josephine Cellucci. & proud son of the late Carmelo & Teresa (Aleo) Iudica. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
