Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Rose M. (Lupoli) Coppola, who died on Friday, September 12th at Lighthouse Nursing & Care Center of Revere, unexpectedly following a brief illness, at 98 years.  Mrs. Coppola would have celebrated her 99th birthday on September 19th.  Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, September 17th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, at 10 a.m.  Born in Italy, she came to the United States of America in 1928, residing in East Boston.  In 1940, she moved to Revere.  Mrs. Coppola was a seamstress most of her working career, working in Boston’s garment district.  Since its inception, she has been an active member of the Revere Rossetti Center for Seniors.  She was a popular personality & enjoyed the sociality that the members, staff, & organization brought to her.  She was one of the oldest members of that group.  Her late husband, Gabriele Coppola, died in February of 1983.  She is the devoted Mother of: Gabriele A. Coppola & his wife Grace A. of Revere, with whom she made her home, & Nicholas A. Coppola & his wife Donna M. of Danvers.  She was also the mother of the late: Theodore G. Coppola, & Maria R. Giannantonio & her late husband, Anthony.  She is the cherished grandmother of: Roseanne Coppola of Revere, Adamarie Brini of Wakefield, Nicholas G. Coppola, Jr. & Anthony J. Coppola, both of Danvers.  She is also lovingly survived by her 2 great-granddaughters, Gabrielle & Kensie Brini, her sister-in-law Mamie Lupoli of Winthrop, & many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  She was the sister of the late: Josephine Dellaversano, Marion Morano, Salvatore & Nicholas Lupoli.  Entombment will be in the private family Mausoleum at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
