Russ R. Luciano

Family & friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Monday, January 31st from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt. 107) Revere for Russ R. Luciano, who died suddenly at his home on Sunday, January 23rd. He was 62 years old. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated following the visitation at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere. Interment will immediately follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. The family respectfully asks all attendees please wear a facemask for the duration of the services.

Russ was a long time Revere Resident. He was raised & educated in Revere. He was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1977. All of Russ’ working career was spent in sales. Russ had a charisma and gift to connect with people, which allowed him to be a success in this area. He had the ability to listen to people and get them what they wanted. Throughout his life, he was always trying to be the best he could be. He loved his family unconditionally and did everything to help provide for them.

He is the beloved son of Jean M. (Scopa) Luciano of Revere & Joseph E. Luciano of Marco Island, Florida. Loving father of Russ C. Luciano of Berlin, NH & the late Tiana M. Luciano. Cherished Papa of Jasandra, Shawn, Jaylee, Natalia, Evan, Jordan & the late John Keegan. Dear brother of Denise T. (Luciano) Medina & husband Herm of Boca Raton, FL. He is also lovingly survived by his nephews, Albert Medina, Louis Medina & Michael Medina, all of Boca Raton, FL, and many loving cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted on behalf of his family.


All attendees are asked to wear a face mask throughout the services.

Per order of the Archdiocese of Boston, Masks are required in church.

    I lived next to Russ on Vane Street. Great Kid! We had a lot of fun. I asked a friend a few weeks ago how Russ was doing, too. My sincere condolences to Jean & Denise. Peace & Strength.

    So sorry to hear this news. I remember my young cuz as such a nice level headed kid back we were young kids. Unfortunately I have not seen him for many, many years. Truly a sad situation. My best wishes and deep condolences to my aunt Jean and cousin Denise, and the rest of the family.
    May he Rest In Peace. He left this world too young.

    I knew Russ when he was growing up on Vane Street Revere and attended McKinley school for elementary.

Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
