Salvatore L. “Larry” Micciullo

micciello salFamily & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, March 7th from 12 – 2 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, for Salvatore L. Micciullo who died on Saturday, February 21st at the Easpointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Chelsea. He was 92 years old. A funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 2 p.m.. Larry was born & raised in Revere, He was educated in Revere public schools. In November of 1942,He enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served his country for 4 years during the 2nd World War. He most proud of being a WWII Veteran. When he returned home from his service, Sal knew his passion, it was cooking. He began a very long career in the Restaurant industry. He had worked all over the City of Boston and at some of the most prestigious restaurants and premier hotels. Larry found more than a job when he began working Jay’s Luncheonette in Boston’s Historical “Old Scolly Square”, he became part of a family. He worked there as a chef for many many years, and would continue to work for & with the Salamone Family. He affectionately became known as “Uncle Larry”. Larry loved meeting knew people. He is the devoted son of the late Sebastian & Mary (Milano) Micciullo. He is the brother of Carmen Micciulla of Revere & the late Lucille Gulla & Louis Micciullo. He is the loved & adored uncle of many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. He is the very special & dear friend of Nora Salamone of Revere &her husband the late Salvatore Salamone. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to: The Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre St. Jamaica Plain, MA 02130-3495.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
