Scot C. Hartman

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Sunday, April 11th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt.107) REVERE for Scot C. Hartman, who died suddenly while out on his boat, he was 49 years old. A Funeral Service will be conducted in the funeral home following the Visitation at 6:15 p.m. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all of the mandates & protocols from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the CDC & the City of Revere are in effect. Face coverings, social distancing, capacity limits are in effect and temperature checks & contact tracing will be taken at the door prior to entering the Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately.

Scot was born in Everett & was raised in Revere. He was educated in Revere schools and was a proud graduate of Northeast Regional Vocational High School in Wakefield, Class of 1990. Scot worked almost all his life as a carpenter. For many years, he was a carpenter in the Carpenters Union, Local #218. Scot loved Revere and as a kid he loved being around the water & in the marsh. He worked alongside his dad lobstering on their boat “My Duff”. Scot had an infinite love for fishing and the ocean. He was a loving son, brother & friend and would help anyone who needed help. His untimely & tragic death occurred while he was doing what he loved most; being on his boat, on the water. 

He is the loving son of Barbara A. (DelloRusso) Hartman of Revere & Florida & the late Ralph l. Hartman. Cherished brother of Nicole J. Hartman of Revere. Beloved grandson of the late Jerry & Adelaide DelloRusso & the late Robert & Ruth Hartman. Dear nephew of Annette & Thomas Hudson of Florida, Gerald “Jerry” DelloRusso & wife Teri of Saugus, Cheryl & Allan Blumsack of Tewksbury & the late Robert Hartman. Special cousin of Jonathan & wife Joyce Hartman of Peabody & Carrie Hudson of Revere. He is also lovingly survived by many caring cousins & extended family.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.


Services

Visiting Hours

Face masks must be worn at all times & social distancing must be maintained in the funeral home. All attendees are required to provide their name and phone number for contact tracing and temperatures will be checked prior to entering the funeral home. Only 25 people are allowed in the Funeral Home at one time. Guests are asked to visit briefly and to exit the funeral home to allow others to enter.

Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
