Sean Bruce Symmes

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Friday, August 11th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere for Sean Bruce Symmes, who passed on Sunday, August 6th. His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, August 12th at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 a.m.

Raised in Winthrop, he was a graduate of Winthrop High school, Class of 1997. Early on in his working career, Sean was a member of & worked for the Local #151 – Laborer’s Union; though lately he changed careers with a position in Sales while living in Long Beach, California for about 5 years creating a strong network of friends.

Sean is the adored son to Marilyn A. (Bruce) Symmes of Winthrop & the late Jay A. Symmes. He is the proud Daddy to Sydney L. Symmes of Winthrop. He is also the devoted brother of Cara B. Symmes & Brian M. Symmes & his girlfriend, Lauren M. Ligotti, all of Winthrop & Ginger Rivera of Oregon. He is also lovingly survived by many grieving aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Healthy Streets, 100 Willow St. 2nd level, Lynn, MA 01902.

    I just saw on Facebook the very sad news about Sean! My heart breaks for you. I saw Sean earlier this summer with Bobby and he looked so happy and handsome. I send you huge hugs and love. May his memory be eternal and my you hold beautiful memories of Sean sweetly as time goes by.

    Seeing this on FB this morning brought to my heart the reality of how important people really are to us. Sean was a friend to both my children in high school.
