Silvio Fallavollita

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Friday, July 13th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), REVERE for Silvio Fallavollita, who passed on Tuesday, July 10th at Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, following a brief illness. His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, July 14th at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Parish, 38 Oakes St., EVERETT, and immediately followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Having been born & raised in the Corfino section of Abruzzi, Italy, he came to live in Everett as a young man and he and his stunningly beautiful wife, made their home for 51 years in Everett. He had a proud & interesting career as a Master Welder for Market Forge Corporation of Everett for 35 years, before retiring. His caring and devoted family were at the pinnacle of his concern and life. He was indeed the quintessential “Family Man”.

He is the beloved & faithful husband of 50 years to Annamaria (Colangelo) Fallavollita. He is the cherished father to Maria Teresa Fallavollita & her companion, A.J. of Malden, Luisa Johnson & her husband, Somerville Police Officer Steven Johnson of Stoneham, Anthony Fallavollita & his fiancé Melody of Sanford, Florida, Clara Fallavollita & Michael S. Fallavollita, both of Everett. He is the adored grandfather of Christina, Stephanie, Louis, John, Jessica, Anthony, Steven, & Julianna. He is the dear brother of Matilda Pugliares & her husband, Rosario, Marisa Cavallo & her husband, Franco, all of Somerville, Rita Stella & her husband, Joseph of North Andover & the late Palmina Evangelista. He is also lovingly survived by two great grandsons, Elvis & Jordan, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
