Susan L. (Manning) Ricci

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Monday, May 15th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio and Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Susan L. (Manning) Ricci, who died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home in Everett following her year and half battle with cancer. She was just 55 years old. Her funeral will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 16th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

Susan was born in Stoneham, raised & educated in Winthrop. She attended Winthrop Public Schools. She was married in 1981 to Liberato “Bo” Ricci, the couple resided in Winthrop where they began their family, later moving to Malden then settling for the past 10 years in Everett. Susan was a dedicated homemaker and loved her family unconditionally. Her family was the hallmark of her life and her grandchildren certainly made her days brighter. She was blessed to have experienced the joy of being a grandmother. Although her illness was just a year and half, she battled courageously and fearlessly.

She is the beloved daughter of the late John Manning & Elsie (Bateman) Manning. The devoted & loving wife of Liberato “Bo” Ricci of Everett, together shared 36 years of marriage. Cherished mother of Christopher S. Ricci, Jennifer L. DiFilippo & her husband Rennie, Andrew J. Ricci, all of Everett, Shawna L. Ricci of North Carolina & Michael J. Ricci of New Hampshire. The adored grandmother of Aydian, C.J., Gabriella, Tyler & Alexia. Dear sister of Nancy Manning of Connecticut, John Manning of Lynn, Rita Caprini of Saugus, Michael Manning of Chicago, Illinois & the late Linda Kimball. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces & nephews. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

    My thoughts and prayers to all the Ricci family. She was a wounderful woman was always nice to all us derilic kids in the neighborhood. She would always offer us food a drink whatever. All I remember is her always happy singing along to her music in the kitchen. She will be dearly missed. May she R.I.P I will make sure to say a prayer and light a candle for her on mother’s day. Again I am so sorry for your loss love all you guys like family.

Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
