Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, February 11th from 4 to 8 p.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (route 107) Revere for Theresa J. (Cianfrocca) Lanciotti of Revere, formerly of East Boston, who died on Friday, February 6th at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center of Revere at 93 years following a long illness. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, February 12th at 9 a.m., following a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St. Revere. Theresa was born & raised in East Boston by her Italian Immigrant parents, Emilio & Assunta (Perotti) Cianfrocca. Theresa was one of 6 children, 4 sisters & 1 brother. She was educated in the Boston Public Schools. Like many families of this generation, Theresa grew up very close to her sisters & brother but also her aunts, uncles & cousins. Truly a very tight knit family. In 1943 she would marry the “love of her life” Victor R. Lanciotti. After the couple wed, they remained in East Boston, raising their only child, Linda. Theresa for many years worked by her husband’s side, at their business, Maverick Cleaners, located in Maverick Square, later in Day Square,in East Boston. In 1964, Theresa lost her husband but she continued on with her daughter and all of her loving family around her. Theresa was a woman who had a great faith and had a zest for life. She is the devoted wife of the late Victor R. Lanciotti. She is the loving & cherished mother of Linda D. Pastore of Revere. She is the beloved sister of Gilda Fontes of Beverly and the late Elena Zullo, Caroline Sullo, Linda Dias & Joseph Cianfrocca. Also lovingly survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, remembrances, may be made to: Alzheimer’s Association 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 or The Lighthouse Nursing Care Center, 204 Proctor Ave. Revere, MA 02151.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
