Thomas M. Motherwell, Jr.

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, June 11th, 2012 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Thomas M. Motherwell,  Jr., who died on Friday, June 8th at the Kaplan Family Hospice, Danvers, following a long illness, at 58 years.  Born in Boston, he was a life-long resident of Winthrop.  A funeral will be conducted from the Funeral  Home on Tuesday, June 12th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere at 10:30 a.m.  Tom was a life member & trustee of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks.  He was also an alumnus of Winthrop High School, Class of 1971.  For many years, he worked for North-West Airlines in passenger service & also worked for the Town of Winthrop, within the School System as a custodian.  He is the beloved son of the late: Thomas M. & Teresa V. (Hartigan) Motherwell.  He is the Devoted father of: Thomas M. Motherwell III & his companion, Tracy Kwiatek of Quincy.  He is the cherished Grandfather of: Thomas A. Motherwell & Shaelyn T. Motherwell.  He is the Dear Nephew of: Richard D. Hartigan & his wife, Janet A. of Revere & is also lovingly survived by many caring cousins.  Interment is private.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.

Funeral Mass

Tuesday, June 12th, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere.

Interment

Will be private.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
