Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, March 24th at 10:30 A.Amato, Vito JM. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St. Revere for Vito J. Amato, who passed away in his Revere home on March 18th at the age of 89.

He is the devoted husband of 67 years to Michelina (Capizzi) Amato of Revere. Loving father of Vincent F. Amato and his wife Susan of Tewksbury, Maria Cassarino and her husband Robert of Revere, Michael Amato of Revere and Paul M. Amato and his wife Tanya of Revere. Beloved brother of Dr. Philip Amato, PhD. Ed. and his wife Carol of Jamaica Plain, Vincent Amato and his wife Madeline of Norwood, Josephine Vignolo of West Roxbury and the late Geraldine Grande, Angela Amato, Rose Lionetta, Salvatore Amato and Giroloma Amato. Cherished grandfather 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Interment will be private.

    Cant sleep and keep thinking of you hard tonight gramps<3..I know you're doing it big up in heaven with your cigar and scotch like you should be !. Keep watching over me & the family and dont stop leaving me little signs to show you're still with me because i catch them every time<3

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
