I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Mahoney. My mother just told me of her passing and it struck me that I just had to write a note to her family. Mrs Mahoney was my third grade teacher at the Whelan school and someone I will never forget. She was just one of those people who affected my life, as some teachers do, and had a huge impact on me. Even as a third grader, I knew Mrs Mahoney was special. I wrote an article about her that year and it was published in the Revere Journal – in it, I talked about how much discipline she taught her students, and even though some of the kids didn’t like it, it was teaching us something for the future. Mrs Mahoney taught me that actions have consequences, and although that isn’t something most third graders would appreciate, I absolutely did. She was real, very honest, and a special role model for me growing up because I never forgot the lessons I learned in her class. I will never forget her and I know she will be missed.
My condolences,
Tara Antonucci
So Sorry to hear about Ms. Mahoney. She was a great teacher and a loving woman. She was both mine and my mother’s third grade teacher. Left a lasting impression on both of our lives.
