Born in East Boston, she attended Revere schools and was a 1962 graduate of Revere High School. A large segment of Louise’s career, was spent as a clerk at Revere City Hall, in the Water Dept., where she was almost a fixture for her many years of service. Lately, for over 10 years, she has worked at the Saugus Senor Center, until her recent & sudden onset with leukemia. Many years ago, while her children were in Revere schools, Louise was active with the Parent-Teacher Association. She was the founder & organizer of the Paraprofessional Union within the Revere Public School System.
She is the devoted wife of 46 years to Joseph M.Bernard and the devoted mother to: Karen L.Bernard & her companion Antonio Altimari of Saugus, Michelle J.”Shelly” Johnson & her husband, Geoffrey M. of Canton, Michigan, & David J. Bernard & his finance, Brandi Ditch of Danvers. She is the cherished Grandmother of: Kyle E. Bernard, Cameron D. Bernard, Sarah M. & Abby L. Johnson & Scott Simmons. Dear sister of Janice B. Necco & Anita D. Quevillon both of Saugus. She is also survived by two nieces, Danielle Holmes & her husband, Robert of Saugus & Amanda Quevillon of Revere, and also by her two “Best Buddies”, Canine “Lucky” & Feline “Bambi”.
I was so sorry to hear this sad news. Louise was one of the nicest ladies to work alongside. She had a great sense of humor too. A real family person and her “buddies” we’re a big part of that union. Rest In Peace, Louise.
Louise I will miss your beautiful smile whenever I walked into the senior center, You are among the Angels now free of pain. My sincere condolences to the family. God’s Blessings to all.
Condolences to the family. Prayer to God can bring you comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 assures us that God is the God of all comfort.
