Joseph P. Napolitano
Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, December 15th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) REVERE, for Joseph P. Napolitano, who passed on Tuesday, December 12th, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, following a long illness. His funeral will be conducted on Saturday, December 16th from the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere at 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Born in Everett he lived in Revere all of his life, before moving to Peabody, 15 years ago. He was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1950. In April of 1954, during the Korean Conflict, 1 he joined the U.S. Army & served as a Specialist 3rd class, until January of 1956. He has a 42 year career as a meat-cutter & store manager. He traveled the vast network of stop-& Shop, serving throughout the North Shore Shore & Greater Boston . A man’s man, always a gentleman, for his family and all of his family & extended family. Never one to join fraternal organizations, he gave his entire being for his family.
He is the beloved husband of 63yrs. to Barbara L. (Kezar) Napolitano. He is the cherished father to Joseph P. Napolitano Jr.& his wife, Lisa of Tewksbury, Nicholas J. Napolitano & his wife, Michelle of Revere, Michael J. Napolitano & his wife, Barbara of Peabody, Gina B. Napolitano of Peabody & the late Lawrence J. Napolitano. He is the dear brother to Paul Napolitano Jr.& his wife, Josephine of Tewksbury. He is the adored Grandfather to Samantha Woolaver & her husband, Derek of Saugus, Joseph P. Napolitano, III & his fiancee, Mackenzie Holland of E. Boston, Alicia L. Napolitano of Tewksbury, Michael L. & Christopher P. Napolitano, both of Peabody & Nicholas J. Napolitano, Jr. & Kiana N. Napolitano both of Revere. In May of 2018, Joe’s first Great-Grandchild is to be born. And from where Joe will be (heaven) he will be the very first to know & observe the “blessed event”; a true paradox, indeed.
Joe, Jr. and all of the Napolitano Family, we were saddened to hear of your Dad’s passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Aunt Barbara & my cousins and family and his brother Paul (my dad). I’m sorry I couldn’t make it. My Uncle Joe will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

Any man that can raise “good guys” like Mike and Joe Napolitano Jr. must have been an amazing person. I did not know Joseph Napolitano but I have gotten to know two of his sons and grandsons. Our thoughts and prayers go out to my friends Joe and Mike – and to the entire Napolitano family.
