Funeral Services & Interment were held privately due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, for Dr. Melissa J. Kolinsky, DC, who died unexpectedly at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Friday, October 23rd, she was 48 years old.
Melissa was born in Lynn and raised & educated in Saugus. She was an alumna of Saugus High School, Class of 1991. She attended Plymouth State College in New Hampshire where she earned an A.S. Degree in Liberal Arts. However, her passion was to become a Chiropractor and she soon enrolled at the Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa, where she would earn her DC in Chiropractic Medicine. Now, Dr. Melissa J. Kolinsky, she worked for several area Chiropractic offices, doing what she loved. Melissa was blessed to have other more important titles, such as wife, mom, daughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin & friend. Melissa loved her children so much and she always tried to be the best mom. She had wonderful parents & sisters by her side. Her husband Justin was a constant dedicated & loving spouse who was also always was by her side. Her presence is a tremendous void, however, the love that she shared is in every one of the people who loved her and will live on for years to come.
She is the cherished daughter of Susan E. (Edwards) Kolinsky & the late Ronald J. Kolinsky. Devoted wife of Justin M. DelMuto, the loving mother of Mason S. Glocke, Avery S. DelMuto & Reese H. DelMuto, all of Saugus. Dear sister of Riann M. Kirk of Saugus & her late husband Scott E. Kirk & Dr. Michelle L. Kolinsky, PhD & her husband Dr. Jeremy Law, PhD of San Jose, CA. She is also lovingly survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, & cousins.

Ed was a graduate of the Mass State Police Academy “45th RTT” 1962. Ed worked as a State Trooper with the Massachusetts State Police and later as a Suffolk Superior Court Officer. He was elected to the Revere School Committee from 1961-1963 and served as a Revere City Councilor in the 1970s & was Past Council President. Late US Navy Veteran.

Joseph A. Ferdinand

Funeral Services & Interment were held privately for Joseph A. Ferdinand, who died on Saturday, October 17th at the Melrose – Wakefield Hospital, following a long illness with Kidney Disease, he was 80 years old.
Joe was born & raised in Cambridge. He attended the Sacred Heart Grammar School & later the Somerville Trade School. Joe had a 25-year career with the Sears & Roebuck Company. He was a Supervisor in the Shipping & Receiving warehouse in Allston. Joe retired after his many years of service due to the company moving out of state. In 1984, Joe married his best friend Louise Goffredo & the couple resided in Revere their entire marriage and enjoyed their time with close friends and family. Joe had a gift to gab; he would often visit Market Basket several times per week early in the morning and talk to all of his friends he made there. Joe was also very proud of his Portuguese heritage & upbringing.
He is the beloved son of the late Joseph Ferdinand & Ellen (Frazier) DaCosta and her husband the alte Augusto DaCosta. The Loving & devoted husband of Louise (Goffredo) Ferdinand of 36 years of marriage of Revere, the dear brother of the late Emma Cook & her husband Roy & the late Maryellen Silva 7 her surviving husband Jorge Silva of Barrington, NH. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces & great grand nephews, whom he treasured & loved.

Dawn passed most unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 14th at Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett. Although she has had serious health issues, her death has shocked the community & her fiancée, Anthony S. Muollo, Jr. with whom she made her home. Dawn moved to Revere in 1979, from Turner Falls, MA, where she was raised &educated. She was a 1976 alumna of Turner Falls High School. Twenty years ago, she & her fiancé, Anthony S. Muollo, Jr. “Tony”, went into a business partnership, on Revere St., Revere “D.A.M. Dart Depot”. The couple are well thought of throughout the community & were planning a wedding sometime in 2021.
She is the devoted daughter of Sandra J. (Morris) Cronin OF Lunenburg, Vermont & the late Robert “Moon” Mullen. She is the dear sister to Wayne Mullen & his wife, Wendy of Turner Falls, MA, Maria Mullen-Morse of West Concord, VT Celina Mullen-Waryasz of Laconia, New Hampshire, Deborah Mullen of Revere & Richard Mullen of Lunenburg, VT. She is also lovingly survived by her Feline Companion, “Ziggy” & many nieces & nephews. She also leaves to mourn her, the Muollo family of Revere, who Dawn adopted as her surrogate family. Her faithful feline friends “Honey-Bear” & Bubba-Lou” also have predeceased Dawn. Dawn was also a long-time member of the Wang-Change Pizzeria Club. And until recently, she had “gigs” as a stand-up comedian at several clubs, caffes, lounges & Eateries, here & in Turner Falls. And a lasting message from Dawn, to all of her family, friends & extended family; “The Bird is the Word”.

Edward W. “Red” Horrocks, Sr.

Funeral Services & Interment will be held Privately due to the ongoing pandemic for Edward W. Horrocks, Sr., who died on Wednesday, October 7th, at the Melrose – Wakefield Hospital following a brief illness, he was 92 years old.
Ed was born & raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He was educated there and after high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Ed later re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was most proud of his service to his country and being a Marine. When he returned home, he met & married Ruth Chiary and the couple settled in Revere, where they remained and raised their family. Ed was a dedicated hardworking family man. He worked for the City of Revere, a career that spanned 35 years, retiring in 1993. He was affectionately known as “Red” due to his tall stature & red hair. Ed loved being surrounded by his family whatever the event was. He was also a man that stood out in the neighborhood and was the surrogate father of several other kids and relatives. Had was also known as a “magician”, he would perform magic tricks at get togethers & parties. He was certainly the Patriarch of his family.
He is the devoted husband of the late Ruth E. (Chiary) Horrocks, of 70 years. Loving father of Edward W. “Buddy” Horrocks, Jr. & wife Nancy of Palm Harbor, FL., Kathleen G. Horrocks & her husband Robert Boudreau of Waltham, William E. Horrocks & wife Deborah of York, ME & the Late Kenneth F. Horrocks & his wife Brenda Horrocks of Worton, MD. Cherished grandfather of Cindy Horrocks & her companion Christopher Harrington of Clearwater, FL, Jill Horrocks of Largo, FL, Kristi Horrocks of Safety Harbor, FL, William Horrocks & wife Samantha of Salisbury, Chelsea Jennings & husband Roland of Chestertown, MD & Stacy Heredia of York, ME.
