Robert G. Murphy
Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday, February 24th, at 12 Noon in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, for Robert G. Murphy, who died on February 12th at the E. N. Rodgers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA following a long illness at 70 years old. “Bob” was born and raised in Boston, he attended Boston Public Schools. He is an alumnus of the Class of 1962. He attended several of the area colleges before entering in to the United States Navy in June of 1965. He entered the Navy to serve his country proudly during the Vietnam Conflict. He entered the Officers Candidate Program and learned to fly Jets.He separated from the Navy in 1968 and earned the rank of Lieu tent.He married Marion Fisher. They lived in Revere. Bob, continued to further his education, taking more colleges classes to further his knowledge. He went on to pursue a career in Real Estate and worked as a top salesman for several of the top brokerages. Bob often found time to give back and would volunteer at his church and community. Bob had suffered some health related problems approximately 12 years ago, which led him to become a resident at the E. N. Rogers Memorial Hospital. There he made friends instantly and was fondly know too many of the staff and residents as “Murph”. He is the devoted husband of Marion (Fisher) Murphy of whom he shared 35 years of marriage. He is the loving father of: Lorraine Cane of CA., Linda Giustina of Revere & her partner Debbie Bickoff of Woburn, Louise Lange & her fiancé Joseph Dempsey of Revere and the late Chad F.Burns and his wife Susan of Revere. He is the cherished grandfather of: Monica, Gabriel, Alex, Tiffany & Brycen and 5 great grandchildren. Interment will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery at a later date. Margaret F. “Peggy” (Furlong) White
Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, February 14th, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, for Margaret F. “Peggy” (Furlong) White, who died on February 7th, at the Wm. B. Rice Eventide Home in Quincy. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, February 15th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church in Revere at 10 a.m.. Peggy was born and raised in East Boston’s Orient Heights. She attended Boston Public Schools until moving to Revere. She was an alumna of Revere High School Class of 1929. Although, she met met her husband, Edward R. White, Jr., in High School, it wasn’t until several years after graduation, when they both worked together at Suburban Electric company,they fell in love. They were married in Our lady of Lourdes Church in 1940. She and her husband began their family in Revere. She had three wonderful children,Edward III, Karen & Janet, which she absolutely treasured. Peggy led a very active and fulfilling life; she was involved in many groups and activities. She was one of the founding members of the Immaculata Guild for Immaculate Conception School; she was a member of the Revere Women’s Club, The Smart Set as well a bridge player, where she would play with a select group of 12 girlfriends and played every Tuesday evening. Peggy also loved to go dancing on Saturday nights with her husband, then former Revere City Councilor and Mayor of Revere at the Knights of Columbus dances. One of Peggy’s fondest memories of her long beautiful life was attending the Inaugural Ball for President John F. Kennedy in 1960. She worked in the Chelsea District Court from 1962 until retiring in 1981, during that time she became the Assistant Clerk of Courts for Chelsea District Court. Peggy loved life, loved her family and loved people, she had an ageless spirit and people enjoyed her company. She was the dedicated wife of: the late Edward R. White, Jr. of whom she shared 26 years of marriage with. She is the loving mother of: Janet C Case & her husband Roy W., of Warrenton, VA, Edward R. White, III of Revere and the Late Karen A. White & her companion Arthur Argenzio of Revere. She is the cherished grandmother of: Amy C. Jacky & her husband Thomas of Burke,VA, David W. Case & his wife Donna of Silver Springs, MD, Christopher R. White, Edward R. White, IV both of Los Angeles, CA and Lisa White of San Francisco, CA. She is the adored great grandmother of: Nicholas, Christopher & Margaret “Maggie” Jacky and Sean, James & Charlotte Case. She is the loving sister of : Robert Furlong & his wife Molly of Point of Pines, Revere and the late: Beatrice R. Furlong & Thomas Furlong. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She is the survived by her oldest and dearest friend and bridesmaid Ethel (Ferretti) Toomey, whom she shares a friendship of over 90 years, and Two other very special friends in Peggy’s life is Diane DeSantis of Revere and the late Mary “Masie” McCarthy. The family of Peggy would like to personally and publicaly acknowledge all of the nurses, staff and caretakers of the Wm. B. Rice Eventide Home, the care that you provide for their Mother was done with love and care, and it will never be forgotten and always appreciated. The interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Louise remained in Revere where she and her husband would begin their life together and start their family. Louise very proudly took her role as mother & wife, dedicating time for her children, as well as maintaining her close relationship with all of her younger siblings, who she helped raise & care for. She loved her family immensely and spending time with them was what she enjoyed most in life. She is the wife of the late: Anthony C. DeRosa of whom she shared 56 years of marriage, she is the devoted mother of : Joan C. Raimo & her husband Michael A. of Salem, NH, Louise A. DeRosa of Revere and The late Philip A. DeRosa & his wife Margaret DeRosa of Salem, NH. She is the cherished grandmother of: Mary Baker & her husband Scott of Sandown, NH, Philip A. Edward F. Leyden, Jr.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, February 6th, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, for Edward F. Leyden, Jr., who passed away on Sunday, February 2nd after a long illness at The Villages at Willow Crossing in Mansfield, MA at 95 years. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, February 7th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Grace Church (59 Nichols St., Chelsea) at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Leyden was born & raised in Revere. He was educated in Revere and was a graduate of the Class of 1938. He entered the United States Navy in June of 1943, hoping to serve hiscountryproudly overseas, but due to a medical condition, he was Honorably Discharged shortly that same year. After leaving the service, he had worked several jobs before beginning a career at Buck Printing Company, where he worked for 30+ years as a “Lithographer.” Mr. Leyden had married his love, Barbara A (Herron), in 1948 and immediately settled in Everett and began to start their family. Mr. Leyden was known to be a “quiet man” but his actions spoke volumes of the man that he was. He was very industrious and was known to build homes and could fix anything; he was a testament of the “Greatest Generation.” He and his wife were very proud parishioners and supporters of Our Lady of Grace Church. He retired at age 65 and continued to stay busy with one of his biggest joys in his life, his 11 grandchildren. In 1990, Mr. Leyden lost his daughter, Kathleen, to her battle with cancer. On December 26th, 1991, he lost his dear wife Barbara. He continued to stay faithful and active; he occupied his time with his children and grandchildren. He would often spend his summers down on Cape Cod with his family. He is the beloved husband of 43 years to the late Barbara A. (Herron). Loving father of Edward F. Leyden, III & his wife Norma of North Reading, William P. Leyden & his wife Jenne of Medford, Carol Leyden-Otto & her husband David G. of Mansfield, and the late Kathleen A. Leyden. He is the cherished grandfather of: Michael Leyden, Michelle Coscia & her husband David, Daniel Leyden, Scott Leyden, Brian Leyden & his wife Amanda, Kristine Leyden, Christopher Otto, Kevin Otto, Sean Otto, Caitlin Otto & Ryan Otto. He is the adored great-grandfather of Lilly Leyden & Jonah Coscia. He is the brother of Joan Derba of Lexington, the late Frederick V. Leyden, Alice Harney & Phyllis L. Miller. John R. Jaynes, Jr.
Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 8th, from 11 to 3 p.m. At the Point of Pines Yacht Club, 28 Rice Ave., Revere forJohn R. Jaynes, Jr., who died unexpectedly, on Tuesday, January 28th, at 68 years, in his Revere home, following a long illness; John was born and raised in Boston, where he attended Boston Public Schools. He was an alumnus of the graduating Class of 1963. Shortly after graduation, he worked various jobs, before beginning his career with Raytheon. He his career began at an entry level position and he worked his way up through the years to an “Inventory Specialists”. Along with his title, he had to have a “High Security Clearance” working on Top Secret projects for the government that he could never divulge any information to anyone but his colleagues, working by his side. John enjoyed his work and time he spent at Raytheon; he was a member of the “Raytheon Bowling League”. When he wasn’t working he would often spend time fishing in Maine at Sebago Lake, but above of all his favorite thing that he loved to do was spending time with his family. John was a known as a dedicated family man. He is the devoted husband to Jo-Anne (Allen) Jaynes, of which they shared 45 years of marriage. He is the cherished father of, Lauri-Anne Jaynes of Haverhill, Sean M. Jaynes & his wife Misty of Brookline and Carrie-Anne Jaynes of East Boston, he is the loving grandfather of Noah Jaynes of Revere and 9 other grandchildren and one great granddaughter Trinity Jaynes. He is the beloved brother of the late, Edmond Jaynes, Frances Jones & Robert Jaynes. Paul G. Reppucci

The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, January 17th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere. Mr. Reppucci has battled Diabetes for most of his life, with his loving family by his side. Paul was born and raised in the Beachmont section of Revere. He attended Revere Schools and shortly after graduation, he joined the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War. He served his country proudly from 1968 – 1974. After leaving the Navy, Paul went to work for the M.B.T.A., as a bus driver for over 20 years before retiring due to health related issues. Paul was one of a select few to be chosen to drive a bus for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. Paul was known as a fun loving man, but above all, he is best known as hard working and dedicated to his family. Paul lived in Revere all of his life before moving to Maine in 2007. He leaves his devoted wife, Linda M. Stasio-Reppucci of Naples, ME, whom he shared 43 years of marriage. He is the cherished father of: Tammy L. Marra & her husband James J. of Hampstead, NH, Paul G. Repucci, II & his wife Jacqueline A. of Stratham, NH, and Matthew J. Repucci of Hampstead, NH. He is the dear brother of Grace Reppucci of Sturbridge and the late Thomas A. Reppucci. He is the adored grandfather of: Crystal Costello, Gennaro Marra, Joseph Marra, Melayna Marra, Matteo Marra and Samantha Reppucci. Loving son in-law of John M. William F. “Billy” McCarthy
William F. “Billy” McCarthy died most unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7th, 2014 after being stricken at work, in the kitchen at New Bridge Cafe, Chelsea, at 53 years. He was pronounced dead at the Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett, where he had been rushed. Born in Revere, he was raised & educated in Everett, & was a 1978 alumnus of Everett High School. ”Billy” spent most of his life in the Chelsea-Everett area. He was a member of the 5-2 Club of Chelsea. Never having married, he had a particular devotion to his parents, brothers, sister, their spouses, & their children. His loss will be intensely served, not only with his cherished family, but with the many, many friends & colleagues he has enjoyed over the years.Beloved son of the late Francis J. McCarthy and Dorothy A. (Sabbagh) McCarthy-DeLuca and the late Steven P. DeLuca. Devoted brother of Francis J. McCarthy, Jr. and his wife Joanne of Everett, Patricia A.
