Anastos, who was called back to heaven on Sunday, May 22nd, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, following a long struggle with Cerebral Palsy and Diabetes. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, May 26th at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., REVERE, at 12 p.m. NOON, followed by interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
Born & raised in Revere, she was a life-long resident. Although challenged, she held a position at the BASS RIVER INC. DAYHAB in Beverly, for several years until May 13th when she suddenly became ill. Her devoted & courageous parents, her most loving sisters & their husbands & all her nieces & nephew, & her 95yr. old grandmother are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love & affection, that Alisha’s life has bestowed upon them. Alisha was a member of the Revere Special Needs League, the Bass River Center & the Till at Don Guanella Center.
She is the cherished daughter of William P. Anastos & Carol A. (McCorry) Anastos and the adored sister to Gina M. Noftle & her husband, Robert & Tiana L . Case & her husband, Alex all of Revere. She is the beloved granddaughter to Theresa McCorry & her late husband, John McCorry of West Peabody. She is the devoted “Auntie” to Nicole, Jake, Kyle, Matthew & Tiah. She is also lovingly survived by many aunts, uncles & cousins.

Catyb, who died following a lengthy illness on Thursday, May 12th, at the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home, nine days, shy of his 92nd birthday. The funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 11:15 a.m.
Born & raised in Revere, he attended Revere schools & entered the U.S. Navy in Sept. of 1940 and served until July of 1947. Most of his working career was with the Quincy Ship Yard as a master welder, for over 30 years, and then beginning a new career as a member of the Security System at Boston Aquarium, where he remained for several years.
He was the son of the late Alley S. & Agnes (Orsagova) Catyb. He is the beloved brother of Albert A. Catyb of New Orleans,La., Martin F. Catyb & his late wife, Deanna of Revere & the late, Alley S. Catyb, Rose & Joseph Catyb & Dorothy Burke. He is the loving father of Carol A. Bowser & her husband, Richard of Hudson, North Carolina, Robert A. Catyb of Hull, Ma. & Katrina & Kayla Catyb, both of Brockton. He is also survived by his wife, Tina Catyb of Brockton. He is the grandfather of Michael R. Bowser and his wife, Aubrey of North Bergen, New Jersey, Ann M. Wilkinson & her husband, Jeffrey of Newport Richey, Fla., Robert & Christopher Catyb, both of Hull, Ma. He is also the great grandfather of Clara & Adrian Bowser and Julianne Wilkinson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.

Rachel T. (Cogliano) Rogers
Rachel T. (Cogliano) Rogers
A funeral mass was celebrated for Rachel T. (Cogliano) Rogers, in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Mrs. Rogers passed after a lengthy illness at her daughter’s home in North Revere, with whom she made her home, on Thursday, May 12th, at 103 years. Born in Boston on October 28th, 1912, she would have been 104 years old in October. The family moved to Chelsea, where Mrs. Rogers attended school, and then later spent over 30 years in Everett, before moving to Revere in 1977. Mrs. Rogers was widowed in January of 1954, leaving her as a single Mom. She worked in her early years at Chelsea’s former “Everlastic” Company & then joined the work force at TRW Car Fasteners for over 20 years, retiring from there in 1977. Always a worker and energetic woman, she soon tired of retirement & in 1987 rejoined the work force at Burger King of Chelsea, as a sale’s clerk. She held the position until turning 83 years in 1995. And that was only because of her family’s demand that she stop working. She was indeed a member of “the greatest generation” and her daughter, son-in-law, & grandsons are true testimony. She was the wife of the late, Arthur F. Rogers. She was the adored & cherished Mother of, Marie T. “Terry” Sadowski & her husband, Samuel J. Sadowski of North Revere, with whom she made her home. She is the cherished Grandmother of: Jeffrey J. Sadowski & his wife, Robyn of Salisbury, MA, & Christopher J. Sadowski of Revere. She was the sister of the late: Maria DeFrancesco, Antonetta Woods, Assunta Finnegan, Domenic, Ralph, Nicholas, & John Cogliano. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.

Revere residence. The funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Saturday, May 14th at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 670 Washington Ave., Revere at 9:00AM.
Born & raised in Revere, he was a graduate of Revere High school, Class of 1948. He entered the U.S. Army, during the Korean Conflict in March of 1951 and served with the rank of Corporal until March of 1953. He returned to the work force as a master printer for the Malden Evening News of Malden. The retired from Malden Evening News, after 30 years of service. “Charlie” was a long-time member of the American Legion Post #61 of Revere & a member of the Typographers Union.
He & his beloved wife Lucy M. (Gatto) Perullo, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on February 4th of 2016. He is the cherished father of LouAnn Stanton & her husband, Christopher B. of Melrose, Mary L. O’Neill & her husband, David T. of Bridgewater & Charles E. Perullo & his wife, Joanne of Revere. He is the cherished Grandfather to, Charles M. ,Nicole L. & James J. Perullo, all of Revere & Kristen L. O’Neill of West Hartford, CT. & Kati F. O’Neill of Chicago, III. Dear brother of Rita P. Enos of Revere, Ronald J. Perullo & his wife, Eva of No. Reading & the late: Edith R. DeYeso, Edward L. Perullo, Rose Hayman, Eugene Perullo and Mary Fuccione. He is also lovingly survived by his. sister-in-law, Constance F. “Connie” Perullo of Derry, New Hampshire, formerlyof Revere, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews. Born & raised in Chelsea, the family moved to Revere in 1968. She was a 1978 alumna of Revere High School. She held an associate’s degree in Business Administration and worked for over 25 years, in the Human Resources & Health Services, particularly with the Elliott Human Services & Community Health Services. She served with the company, as their Office Manager.
She is the beloved wife of 26 years to Mark R. Montalto, Sr. She is the cherished mother of Mark R. “Marko” Montalto, Jr & Frankie T. Montalto, both of Revere. She is the adored daughter to, Theresa (Fantasia) Recupero of Revere & the late, Frank Recupero. She is the dear sister to Raymond “Ray” Recupero & his wife, Mary of Revere. She is also lovingly survived by an extended family of friends & other relatives. Interment will be held privately.

Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, May 12th, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart, 45 Brooks St., East Boston at 10:00 a.m.
Born & raised in East Boston, the family moved to White St., in 1928. Frances was born on May 1, 1938 and always lived in the family home. She is a 1956 alumna of East Boston High School & a graduate of Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School of Boston. She began her career with Stone & Webster as a data entry clerk, & rose to the position of Supervisor & Office Manager, a position she held for over 26 years. The constant debility with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, necessitated her early retirement. As a devoted daughter, sister, “Auntie”, cousin, niece & friend, Frances would want to be remembered as a devout and faithful member of her Roman Catholic Faith & a most practicing & proud parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish of East Boston. Her legacy arrives from the extraordinary exemplars of her Mother’s family. Her Mom’s family were long-time parishioners at the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel at Jeffries’ Point. For years, Frances’ mother, Anna M. (Severino) was with her sisters, in the direct operation & success of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish. Frances’ dear aunt, Rose Severino was the “bench organist” at the Church for over fifty years. Frances’ Mom, was a most gifted gown designer & custom dress-maker. Her talents, rendered many, many altar linens, & church vestments. Frances assisted her mother, always, with the sewing & final intricate detail work, necessary for the completion of the many Church linens & vestments. The Gaeta’s family of generosity was not just confined to Mt. Carmel & Sacred Heart Parishes, E. Boston but throughout the archdiocese. Many of their gifts of linens, vestments, statuary etc. still grace the altars & sanctuaries of seminaries & convents throughout the North Shore Area. Frances, inspite of her own infirmity, cared & nurtured all the family members who have passed before her.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Dante H. & Anna M. (Severino) Gaeta & the dear sister to the late, Gerard C. “Sonny”, Alessandro L. “Alec”, Carmen A. & Dante H. Gaeta, Jr. She is the cherished aunt to Nanina C. Gaeta-Coletta & her husband, Edward J. of E. Boston, Rosemary F. Murray of Revere, Alessandra Gaeta-Marrero & her husband, Miguel of Brockton, Gerard C. Gaeta of CT., Dante Gaeta & his wife, Ksenia of Salem, Ma., Regina Gaeta-Santoro & her husband, Derek of E. Eleanor V. Picardi
Private services were held at the Vertuccio & Smith Horne for Funerals, 773 Broadway (rte107), Revere for Eleanor V. Picardi, who died
on Sunday, May 1st, at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center of Revere, following a lengthy illness. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Born & raised in East Boston, Eleanor lived there until moving to Revere in 1958 with her Parents & her five brothers & one sister. She attended East Boston schools & was a 1947 alumna of Girls’ Trade School of Boston. Although early in her working career, she held several jobs, her primary vocation in life was to care for her beloved family. She cared for both Parents and her three of her brothers. She became the Matriarch of Family when her dear Mother died in March of 1962. Eleanor was always, pleasant, smiling, going about her household chores with a beautiful energy for life. Her sister Rose M. Picardi, survives her most mournfully. The two of them had become “best friends” and confidants.
She was the daughter of tee late Ralph & Ernestine “Esther” (Dell’Orfano) Picardi and the cherished and devoted sister to, Rose M. Picardi, & Ralph J. Picardi both of Revere, Gerald E. Picardi of Avon, Mass. & the late Michael R., Anthony J. & Nunzio J. Picardi. She is also lovingly survived by her surrogate daughter & her family, Mary Ann Cifuni & her husband, Gennaro J. Cifuni of Revere. Several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews, also survive her.

Mrs. Freitas was born & raised in Chelsea, and was a 1954 Alumna of Chelsea High School. Most of her working career was as a saleswoman for Boston Department Stores, including Filene’s & Macy’s at the Northshore Mall for over 25 years. She was a member of the “Quarter Century Club of Macy’s”.
She is the wife of the late John T. Freitas and the cherished Mother of, James M. Freitas of Winthrop, John D. Freitas of Palm Coast, FL., William T. Freitas & his wife, Lenore K. of South Natick, Mariann Freitas of Groveland & the late Robert Freitas. She is the dear sister to Jean Abbott & her husband, Robert, Chester “Sonny” Wozniak all of Malden, Patricia Wozniak of Woburn & the late Joseph Wozniak. She is also lovingly survived by her faithful sister-in-law, Ann Freitas of Chelsea, with whom she made her home, 7 (seven) grandchildren, one great-grandson, & several nieces & nephews. Interment will be in the family lot at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
