Anthony R. Piccadaci

Piccadaci, who died following a lengthy illness, on Sunday, September 27th at Boston’s Mass. General Hospital. His funeral mass will follow the visitation at the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.),REVERE at 11:30 a.m.
Born in Boston’s North End, he attended schools in Boston & lived in the North End, until coming to Revere in 1978. Anthony loved to work the flea market circuit for many years. His devoted & beloved wife of 35 (thirty-five) years, Donna-Marie (Ventola) Piccadaci, a hairstylist by profession owned & operated “Donna’s Beauty & Gift Shoppe” in Somerville for over fifteen years. Her husband, Anthony acted as chief buyer, salesman, & chief sanitary engineer (janitor) for the shop, as they worked side-by side. And, then, his childhood diabetes, returned with vengeance and rendered him not only temporarily unable to work, but eventually, permanently retired. Anthony suffered with quiet dignity, the loss of both legs and the resignation of having to rely on others, for help and assistance.
Besides his dear wife, he is survived by three adoring daughters, Lisa M.Piccadaci-Silva & her husband, Jamerson of Peabody, Krista R. Piccadaci-Manaog & her husband, Dennis of Wakefield & Lori A.Piccadaci of Revere. He is the devoted brother of Phyllis Piccadaci, Concetta “Connie” Giambusso & her husband, Frank all of South Boston & the late: Gaetano Piccadaci.He is also lovingly survived by his very special grandaughter, Ivy A.O’Donnell , two most special nephews, Jack Giambusso & his wife,Jane of South Boston, Carl Giambusso & his wife, Bella of Medford & his joyful blessing, his Godchild, Mya. Many other nieces,nephews,grand-nieces & grand-nephews survive him

John spent most of his young years in Peabody & Topsfield, and Graduated from Masconomet Regional High School in Topsfield, in 1986. Most of his working career, was spent in human resources, working for non-profit agencies. From about 1995 – Nov. of 2000, John spent time as a student & genealogy researcher in Aberdeen, Scotland. There, he met the love of his life, Angela “Angie”(McKenzie) FitzGerald. The couple were married & they returned to the USA in Nov of 2000, settling in Peabody. In January of 2006, the couple moved to Danvers, where they have remained since that time. John had a passion for music, especially, Fleetwood Mac. If you knew him, you knew what type of music, he enjoyed.
He does leave his beloved wife of 21 years, Angela “Angie” (McKenzie) FitzGerald. He is the devoted son of Helen R.(Green) FitzGerald of Peabody & the late, James E. FitzGerald. He is the cherished brother to; Susan M. Hamlin & her husband, Eric M. of Ipswich & Bonnie L. Kelley & her husband, Stephen J. of Methuen. He is the proud uncle to Tyler A. Hamlin of Ipswich, Daniel & Michael Bennett both of Aberdeen, Scotland. He is also lovingly survived by his mother & father-in-law, John and Margaret (Murray) McKenzie of Aberdeen Scotland, his brother-in-law, Kenneth McKenzie & his wife, Anne & his sister-in-law, Linda Bennett & her husband, Stephen all of Aberdeen, Scotland.

Mrs. Ruzzo was born & raised in Revere & was a 1937 alumna of Revere High School. Mrs. Ruzzo was married to Dominic Ruzzo for over 37 years, when he died in February of 1998. “Ann” enjoyed her membership with the Revere Loyal Order of the Moose on Broadway, Revere, & took advantage of the many trips, offered to the Revere Seniors & Members.
She is survived by her devoted & adoring son & daughter-in-law, Richard T. Ruzzo & his wife, Priscilla J. of Lynnfield. She is the beloved Grandmother of: Mark A. Ruzzo of Melbourne, Fla., Stacy Blue & her husband Mark of Palm Bay, FL., Stephanie Niles
of Charlotte, North Carolina, Christopher Ruzzo of Titusville, Fla., Denise Doherty & her husband, William of Saugus, Michelle Dobbins & husband, Mark of Winchester, Jeanine Dion & her husband, Peter of Georgetown, Ma., & Jennifer Tammaro & her husband, Philip of Lynnfield. Born & raised in Tarnow, Poland, she came to the USA, with her dear family in 1966, when Kristina was 10 (ten) years old. The family settled in Boston & Kristina attended Girls Latin School & Cambridge High School, graduating in 1974. She was a most attractive young woman, and worked most of her working career, in the hospitality industry, as a waitress, hostess, manager & later in the home health care industry. At the time of her unexpected passing, she was acting as a home-care senior aide for several Revere seniors. She lived in Revere for about 25 years. Her late husband, David A. McDonald, passed in 2013.
She is the cherished daughter of, Wanda Z.(Koza) Makara of No. Chelmsford & the late Stanley Makara. She is the devoted sister to Marta E. Makara-Higgins & her husband Frederick G.Higgins of Chelmsford & Roman T. Makara & his wife Brenda of Malden. She is the dear aunt to Frederick J., Martina J., & Lauren E. Higgins all of Chelmsford,Christopher G. Makara of Haverhill & Ericka L. Makara of Malden. She is also lovingly survived by her extended family of friends & former co-workers. Interment will be held later, privately at the family lot, in Walnut Hills Cemetery, Brookline.

Born in Newark,N.J., he was raised in Concord & Carlisle. A graduate of Concord High School, Class of 1965, he entered the US ARMY, during the Viet-Nam Era, in April of 1966 & served until April of 1969. In Sept of 1969, he began his college degree at Suffolk University,& graduated in 1973, with a degree in Economics. After early retirement, he returned to work as a cab-driver for Revere’s Patriot Cab for about seven years, when declining health, forced him to formally retire. Ronald was a member of the VFW POST#6712 of Beachmont & a Revere (Beachmont) resident for about 20 (twenty) years.
He is the beloved husband of 20 years to Eugenia “Gina” (Malinowska). Devoted surrogate father to Magdalena “Magda” Malinowska of Revere. Dear brother of Alvin W. Hubbard, Jr. & his wife Dianne of Derry, NH & Margia Bellia & her husband Matthew J., of Bel Air, MD. Also lovingly survived by several nieces & nephews & a large extended family of friends.

Thomas L. Hill, Sr.

Hill, Sr., who died following a lengthy confinement at the Leonard Florence Center for Living in Chelsea on Wednesday, September 16th. Mr. Hill’s funeral mass will follow the visitation at Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), REVERE at 11:30 a.m.
Born & raised at Revere, he attended, both I.C. Grammar School & I.C. HIGH School, graduating in 1940. He entered the US Army in November of 1942 and was discharged as a Sergeant in December of 1945. Tom served in WWII as a Radio Operator in New Guinea, Philippines, Okinawa & with the “ARMY of the OCCUPATION” in JAPAN WITH THE Fifth Air Corps on a Crash Boat Air Sea Rescue Crew. He served a total of 38 months; twenty & a half months of which were in the Pacific ,overseas. Seventy years ago, this past March, Tom became a staunch member of the American Legion Post #61 of Revere, shortly after, he joined the Revere Lodge of Elks #1171. This past March 15th, 2015, he was presented a CERTIFICATE OF CONTINUOUS MEMBERSHIP, recognizing his seventy years of continuous membership. In the 1950s, Tom was elected statewide, as one of four delegates to attend the NATIONAL CONVENTION OF THE LEGION. In 1968, he was appointed to the INAUGURAL COMMITTEE OF RICHARD NIXON AND In 1972, joined the festivities in Washington, as Lead Attendant to the wives of the recipients of the “MEDAL OF HONOR” and their families. In 1947, he founded the Hill Insurance AGENCY, along with his late wife, Florence. Later, his sons, Jim & Tom, Jr. would join the firm and continue to this day. HILL INSURANCE has been on BROADWAY, since 1938 in nine different locations. From 1947-1962, he was a Revere Firefighter. His other affiliations were, the FLETCHER CLUB OF WESTFORD, the Loyal Order of the Moose, #994, Green acres, Florida & the Retired State County Municipal Employees.
Tom’s beloved wife of over 70 years, Florence E. (Hannigan) Hill passed on April 22, 2014. The Hill family are known to be one of Revere’s oldest families. Many were involved with the REVERE SCHOOL SYSTEM, REVERE POLITICS & SEVERAL REVERE BUSINESSSES. Both Mr. Hill’s brothers, Herbert S. “Hoodsie” Hill & Sgt. James J. Hill, were casualties of WWII. Revere’s newest elementary school, “the James J. Hill Elementary School” on Park Avenue Revere was dedicated last November 2014, & Mr. Tom Hill. Sr. was present for the ceremonies. He is the Devoted father of, James J. Hill & his wife, Marie .Judithann Hill & her companion, Edward Simeone & Thomas L. Hill, Jr.& wife Tammi, all of Revere. He is the cherished grandfather to, Erin Hill of Cambridge, Jamie Harrop & her husband, James of Peabody, Jessica Hill-Little & her husband, Jason of Cleveland, Ohio, Thomas L. Hill, III & his wife, Sabina & Jason Hill all of Revere. He is the dear & dedicated brother to Grace Sannella & her husband, Frederick A. Sannella, former Revere School Committee member, & the late, Helen M.”Honey” Hill, Herbert S. Hill,Jr., Sgt. James J. Hill, Revere School Supt. William J. Hill, Revere City Assessor & Ward council member Kenneth F.Hill. Mary G. Cushing, H. Pauline Hill & Audrey Cogliano. He is also lovingly survived by his two great- daughters, Abigayle Harrop & Juliana L. Hill, his two sisters-in-law, Eleanor F. (Cronan) Hill of Lynnfield & Carolann (Hegarty) Hill of Revere. He was the son of the late, Herbert S. Hill & Helena (Spelman) Hill. Many dedicated & loyal nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & nephews & great-grand nieces & nephews also survive him. Interment will be in the Family lot at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Robert is the adoring father to Kaylee D. Boyd OF Malden, and the beloved son to Scott R. Boyd of Weymouth & Tracey A.(Ferullo) Boyd of Everett. He is the devoted brother of Richard C. Boyd & his wife, Stacy of Malden. He is also lovingly survived by Kaylee’s Mom, Stacy L. Dell’Olio of Malden and his dear niece, Olivia R. Boyd of Malden. Robert is also the cherished grandson to Carol (Morgan) Ferullo of Everett & her husband Carl Ferullo of Saugus, Donna Conte & her husband Victor of Saugus & the late Richard Boyd. Massimilliano C. “Max” Nappa

Born in Naples, Italy, the family came to the USA in 1977, when “Max” was 7 years old & settled in Revere. Max was a 1988 alumnus of Revere High School. He entered the Army National Guard in March of 1989 & served until March of 1997. He has worked as a mechanic for his brother, Jerry at Revere Auto Service, since it’s opening over 25 years ago. There he made many friends and associates. “Max” always had a magnanimous personality, most welcoming. On June 17th, 2015 (Evacuation Day for the Commonwealth), Max was awarded “A Great Citizen Of Malden Community Award. For about the past 12 years, the family has lived in Malden & became very active in Malden Government and social affairs of the day. The Mayor, Gary Christenson and Jandeane Sica-Berenbaum, presented the award to Max at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he was recuperating from his latest set-back. However, above & beyond, Max was the explicit poster-boy for “The BEST FAMILY MAN”. His passion to recover & live, was no small matter, due to his overwhelming love & dedication to his wife and three sons.
Max’s beloved wife of seventeen years (17) is Camille A.(Mulkerin) Nappa. He is the adored father of Massimilliano C. “Max” Jr.,Anthony M. & Joseph M. Nappa, all at home. He is the cherished son of Bruno and Anna (Rossi) Nappa of Revere. He is the dear brother to Gennaro “Jerry” Nappa & his wife, Pamela, Bruno Nappa Jr. & his wife, Maria all of Saugus, Rita Jambor & her husband, Paul & Josephine Rozopoulos & her husband, George all of Peabody. He is the beloved son-in-law to Virginia Mulkerin & her husband, Morgan of Malden & is also lovingly survived by many nieces & nephews. Interment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.

John P. “Jackie” Reardon, Jr.

His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, September 9th at 9:30 a.m., followed by the funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere, at 10:30 a.m.
Born in Winthrop, he was raised & educated in Revere, an alumnus of Immaculate Conception High School, Class of 1957. He went onto college in the Midwest & Emerson College. He was a Revere businessman & entrepreneur for many years as the proprietor & operator of “Mickey’s” Northshore Café on North Shore Road, Revere, a popular neighborhood lounge. “Jackie” had a most welcoming & generous nature & personality, traits he inherited from his late Dad, John P. “Mickey,” Sr. Jack could not pass up the opportunity of joining & then leading a host of religious, fraternal, & social organizations. He was the Past Grand Knight & longtime member of the Revere Council – Knights of Columbus #179, Past President & member of the Revere Kiwanis Club, a member of the Lynn Chapter of the Ancient & Honorable Order of Hiberians, & Saugus VFW, Post #2346, & member of the Orient Heights Yacht Club of Orient Heights, East Boston, & Cottage Park Yacht Club of Winthrop. “Jack” served for over six years in the Air National Guard during the Viet-Nam Era, based out of Logan Airport.
During his adult life & continuing onto his very last weeks before his unexpected passing, Jack lived his Catholic faith with classic & humbled generosity. Many times over the years, he & his Dad quietly were the magnanimous “angels of mercy,” especially to the downtrodden & disenfranchised. Jack & his Dad never sought any acknowledgement of their quiet generosities to their beloved Immaculate Conception Parish Community Building Fund, or other fraternal & social organizations. They assumed responsibility for many a debt owed, absolutely, anonymously.
He leaves his beloved wife of 48 years, Frances M. (Augliera) Reardon. Jackie & Fran moved to Lynn in June of 1970. He is the devoted father of Kristin M. Fraher & husband, Jay of Lynn, Seann M. Reardon & his wife, Jill Stinebring of Topsfield, & Michael R. Reardon & his wife, Danique of Beverly. He is also the cherished grandfather of Jenna R. & Jason L. Fraher both of Lynn, Casey F. & Ryan J. Fraher both of Lynn, Kaia P. Reardon of Topsfield, & Aiden M. Reardon of Beverly. He is the dear brother of Sheila A. Screnci of Saugus & Attorney Michael H. Reardon of Washington, D.C. He is also lovingly survived by 2 aunts, Virginia A. Silver & Elaine J. Reardon, both of Revere. He was also the nephew of the late, Grace Fabiano, Joan Benton, Helen E. Orlando, Ruth L. Jonas, Marie B. Gormley, Francis B. Reardon, James P. Reardon, Kathleen B. “Kay” Reardon, Patrick J. Reardon, & Ann E. Reardon. He was also the dedicated son of the late, John P. “Mickey” Reardon, Sr., & Mary E. (Graham) Reardon. He is the dear uncle to his special nephew, Jonathan P. Screnci, his niece, Jessica A. Peacock & her husband Charles, all of Saugus, & his niece, Lisa M. Cantalupo & her husband, Steven of Franklin, MA. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Gloria Augliera of Millis, MA, & many faithful & proud cousins. He was the brother-in-law of the late Richard J. Augliera.

Paolo Cordio

Born & raised in Palermo, Sicily, Italy, he came to live in the USA in 1963, moving to East Boston for a brief time, before moving to Revere in 1965. He & his beloved wife, Costanza (DiBella) Cordio, have lived in the Beachmont section for over 52 years. All of his working career was as a Stone Mason. He was a member of the International Union of Laborers & Bricklayers, Local #3, for over fifty years. He retired in 1985.
He is the devoted father of, Maria Cordio-Frenna & her husband, Francesco “Frank” Frenna of Methuen & Francesco “Frank” Cordio of Haverhill. He is also lovingly survived by five 5 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews in Italy & Argentina.
