John G. “Jack” Doherty

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) REVERE at 12:00 p.m., and immediately followed with interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.

Born & raised in Revere, he was a lifelong Revere resident & an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1966. He entered the Revere Fire Department in 1979 & retired in 2009. He was a member of the Revere Fire Dept. Beneficent organization. During his time with the Fire Department, he was the organizer & chairman of the annual Revere Fire Department Fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He was enthused to be a part of this endeavor, for over twenty years. “Jack” also served with the U.S. Air Force, during the Vietnam Era as a Photo Mapping Specialist.
“Jack” was the son of the late Ret. Revere Firefighter Leo F. Doherty, Sr. & the late Ethel G. (McCracken) Doherty, who passed in June, 2020. Beloved husband of 49 years to Maryellen (Erricolo) Doherty of Revere. Cherished father of Colin M. Doherty & his wife Terri of Salem, MA & Connor K. Doherty of Revere. Dear brother of Leo F. Doherty, Jr. & his wife Stephanie of Aurora, CO, Judy L. Gallant & her husband Gerald of Milford, NH & the late Cindy R. Foulds. Many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews also survive Jack.

She passed on Thursday, December 10th at her Saugus residence following a lengthy illness surrounded with the overwhelming presence of her God & her adoring family. She lived in East Boston and Malden in the early years of her life, until 1996 when she moved to Saugus. Born & raised in Boston, Rosalie was an alumna of Boston Girl’s Trade School, Class of 1960. As a young a young lady, she began a career with the prestigious “House of Bianchi” for some 10 years. She was an outstanding seamstress in spite of her youth. She was taught at her mother’s knee & subsequently enjoyed a fine background in the art of repairing and designing ladies’ fashions. For the next 20 years, Rosalie would accept a position with “Marlena Ladies Sportswear of Boston”. She was most content at “Marlena’s” and remained with the company for 20 years. In 1984, she and her husband, the late Luca Morelli opened Carter’s Dry Cleaners & Tailoring of Everett. Luca passed in November of 2014 and later in December of 2014, Rosalie retired. To this very day, Carter’s Dry Cleaning & Tailoring is operated by her son, Louis Morelli and his family. If one were to be asked to render a brief profile of Rosalie, they would have to admit that her family was her first joy and in that role she excelled. She was the youngest of 9 children and when the other 8 needed her she was there with high support and loving care. To her late parents, Domenic Ballerini & Philomena (Perrotti) Ballerini, she was devoted and kind.
She is the cherished mother of Louis Morelli & wife, Maureen of Everett, Lisa D’Alleva of Melrose & Lydia Howard & her husband David Howard of Medford. She is the proud “Nonnie” to 8 grandchildren; they are Zackary T., Madelaine R., Isabella M. & Luca F. Morelli, Charles D’Alleva, Lauren M., Rosalie M. & Henry L. Howard. She is the devoted sister of Domenic Ballerini & his wife Beverly of Tewksbury & the late Angie Maurello, Norma Forgione, Gloria A. Forgione, Anthony Ballerini, Anna Scofield, Mary West & Ramilda Vaccaro. She is also lovingly survived by her grandnephew, Edward Scofield & brother-in-law, Earl West of Florida & her sister-in-law, Nancy Moniz of Hansen, MA. Many other nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews proudly survive Rosalie.

Mary, affectionately known as “Tootsie”, was born & raised in Revere. She was a proud alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1952 & a cheerleader for the school. In 1953, She married to her love, Walter Bacigalupo and the couple raised their family in Revere. Tootsie worked for the Annemark Nursing Home in North Revere, for over 30 years in the Housekeeping Department. All who knew Tootsie, loved her. Her amazing personality was always a pleasure to be around. She & her husband would spend their summers in Naples, Maine & Winter in Islamorada, Florida. She & her husband moved to Lynnfield, approximately 6 years ago. On March 22, 2017, her husband of 64 years, passed away. She was a devoted & loving wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. Her unwavering spirit to love, share and be with family is what made her so special. She was an incredible cook & loved to feed everyone, it was certainly one of her hallmarks. She also loved any opportunity to go to the casino, whichever one she could get to. Her life was filled with so much love, joy & happiness & countless memories.
She is the devoted & beloved wife of the late Walter L. Bacigalupo. Loving & dear mother of Dawn M. Sylvia & her husband Stephen of Peabody & Thomas W. Bacigalupo & his wife Donna of Lynnfield. Cherished grandmother of Bianca M. Bacigalupo of Lynn, Gregory M. Sylvia & Sasha Lee Sylvia both of Peabody & Stephen M. Sylvia & wife Kelly of Fitchburg. Treasured great grandmother of Armani, Alexis, Matthew, & Gavin Thomas. She is also lovingly survived by her canine companion, “Hunter” who was always by her side and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

Joseph M. Bernard
Funeral Services with Military Honors & Entombment were held privately due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic at Holy Cross Community Mausoleum, in Malden for Joseph M. Bernard, who died on Thursday December 3rd at his home with his family by his side, he was 87 years old.
Joe was born in Chelsea & was raised in Chelsea until the family moved to Revere. He attended Revere Schools. Joe enlisted in the United states Army during the Korean Conflict. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged. Joe was exceptionally talented working with his hands and could repair or build anything. He had a career as a mechanic at Sears Automotive for 25 years. Joe constantly stayed busy fixing neighbors & friends’ vehicles at their homes. He possessed an incredible work ethic that allowed him to provide for his family. In his later years, when he retired, Joe got a job at Stop & Shop as a clerk, until 2015, and retired, again, at the age of 82. It was his nature to be productive & stay busy. Joe was an avid sports fan but was a Boston Bruins super fan.
He is the beloved & devoted husband of the late Louise M. (Necco) Bernard of 46 years. Loving father of Karen l. Bernard – Altimari & her husband Antonio of Saugus, Michelle J. Johnson & her husband Geoffrey M. of Canton, MI, & David J. Bernard of Danvers. Cherished grandfather of Kyle E. Bernard, Cameron D. Bernard, Sarah M. Johnson, & Abby L. Johnson. Dear brother of Marilyn A. Doucet of Malden, Janet M. Pouche & husband Ernie of North Reading, James O. Bernard & wife Karen of Florida, & Robert P. Bernard & wife Natalie of Revere. Bobby was born in Boston; he was raised & educated in Boston’s North End & then Somerville. He was educated in Somerville Schools. At a very young age, Bobby worked in the Produce business. He worked for various vendors in Haymarket & New England Produce in Chelsea. His career allowed him the opportunity to own & operate his own business in Revere “All Season’s Produce”. He worked until he became ill. He is a man that was always revered at being a kind & gentle man. He had a love & closeness of being with his family and was a friend to everyone he came into contact with. To know him was to love him.
He is the beloved son of the late Canio Ronzano & Adeline (DeSimone) Ronzano. Devoted husband of Michelle Ann Calnan – Ronzano of Revere. Loving father of Jason M. Calnan & his companion Ligia Dellasalas of Revere. Cherished brother of Louise Dusevitch of Revere, Celeste Laudano of Melrose, Emmanuel M. “Butchie” Ronzano of Revere, & Vincent Ronzano & his wife Evelyn of Burlington. Adored papa of Jason M. Calnan, Jr. of Revere. Dear brother-in-law of Michael Calnan & wife Lisa of Middleton & Albert J. “A.J” Sabbag of Revere. Born & raised in Medford, he was an alumnus of Medford High School, Class of 1953. He worked with the Security Department at Leslie University of Boston for almost 20 years, retiring in 2000. A selfless individual from youth, he cared for his dear mother until her passing & his sister until she went off to school. He lost his father at the age of ten (10) & began working part-time jobs, while continuing on with his education. After graduating from High School, he secured two (2) full time years as a junior bookkeeper. He began a 20-year career at Leslie University in their Security Department & remained there until his retirement in 2000.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Dr. Marie A. (Aloisi) Connors, Ph. Ed. He also leaves his dear brother-in-law, Joseph A. Aloisi & his wife, Marie of Salem, MA. He is the devoted uncle to Mark Aloisi of Boynton Beach, FL & Gina DeSisto & her husband, Darren of Revere. He was the cherished son of the late, Daniel A.F. Connors & the late Margaret (Foley) Connors & the loving brother to the late Doctor Maureen Connors, Phd. Ed.

Funeral Services were held privately for Frederick Lavorati, who passed away unexpectedly on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th in his Lynn residence. He was 70 years of age.
Born & Raised in Chelsea. Fred was an Alumnus of Chelsea High School, Class of 1969. He worked as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 30 years before his retirement. Fred was an avid hunter & fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and spending time up in Maine.
He is the cherished father of Traci C. DeMarco & her husband Christopher & Frederick J. Lavorati, all of Peabody. Proud grandfather to Christopher J. DeMarco & Bethany E. DeMarco, both of Peabody. He is also lovingly survived by his former wife, Karen A. (Christopher) Lavorati, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews. Frederick was one of seven born to the late Thomas & Estella (Rovinski) Lavorati.

Margaret Helen Dennis
It is with great sadness that we announce Margaret Helen Dennis, beloved daughter, sister, aunt & friend, died peacefully at home on November 26, 2020.
Margaret was a proud graduate of Our Lady of the Assumption School, Lynnfield, Peabody Veterans’ Memorial High School and Salem State University. Margaret was employed as a special education paraprofessional at Hood School in Lynn, where she was adored by her students and fellow teachers. Margaret enjoyed the finer things in life; art, music, travel, food, shopping and family and always appreciated a good joke, where her laughter would light up a room and travel for miles. Margaret loved spending time outdoors, she especially loved the North Shore beaches from Lynn Shore Drive to Marblehead Neck and up to the Maine coastline. She also loved the mountains of North Conway, Cape Cod and traveling the world! She loved to shop and always chose the perfect gift and even made the thousands of trips to CVS for her mother and father seem special. She had countless friends that she went to many concerts, dinners, walks in Lynn Woods and trips with. She was an avid gardener and most recently became chef extraordinaire for her parents, which as everything else, she excelled. She adored her family time and especially loved her nieces and nephews. She’s forever in our hearts, she is irreplaceable.
Margaret is survived by her loving parents William A. and Jean S. (Callahan) Dennis of Swampscott, siblings Catherine J. and Jack E. Glencross of Lynnfield, Mary L. Anderson and her late husband Phil of Lynnfield, William A. Dennis Jr. of North Conway, NH, Carolyn A. and Michael J. Gallagher of Topsfield, James P. Dennis and Brenda A. Supino of Swampscott, her beloved nieces and nephews; Erin and Brian, John, Kristin and Nick, Philip and Ashley, Mickey, Ally, Julie, Tara, Patrick, Anna and Amanda, surviving fiancé of Margaret’s beloved pre-deceased nephew, Dean Michael Dennis.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated privately in St. Pius V Church in Lynn.
