Jean “Guy” Germain

Jean “Guy” Germain was born in Hinche, Haiti, on April 10, 1952, to Lumenes Germain and Eva Germain (Belotte).  Guy grew up in Thomonde, Haiti; and was the oldest and the first in his family to come to the United States in hopes of finding opportunities to improve the lives of his loved ones. He arrived in Florida on December 31, 1981. From there, he traveled to New York City and was subsequently picked up by his cousin Kelly and driven to Boston.

Guy was relentless when it came to providing a stable foundation for his family as he assumed the mantle of a father figure to his younger siblings. In Boston, Guy began laying the foundation for a very successful and honorable legacy. The type of legacy men and women could only pray for.

Guy began his career as a Maintenance Technician at Crittenton Women’s Union in Brighton, Massachusetts in 1987. Working tirelessly, day and night, Guy was self-motivated and would become the most valued member at the Women’s Union. Everyone knew Guy was the hardest working person in the room. Most importantly, Guy was a man of character, who valued dignity, integrity, & respect. Guy’s perseverance, determination, & faith, were values he bestowed unto his children, and are qualities for which he will be remembered.

In 1986, Guy met his wife Nadie and together they welcomed two beautiful boys, Gregory and Andrew Guy Germain. Guy was a loving father, grandfather, husband, brother, & son. He was a man of few words that was able to touch the hearts of many with his gentle smile.

Guy is survived by his wife, Nadie, his children Gregory (32) and Andrew Guy (31); his grandchildren Jacob Guy, Amelia Rose, & Logan Guy. His mother; Eva, sisters; Sonie, Marielle, Rolande, Florence, Liline and Patricia, and brother; Hans.
