Alice M. Steblecki

Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Friday, December 6th at 9:00 a.m. , in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 670 Washington Ave., Revere, for Alice M. (Ferlewicz) Steblecki, who passed after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, November 26th at Melrose – Wakefield Hospital, Melrose.  Born & raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, she lived in the Upper Montclair, NJ area most of her life, before moving to Melrose, MA , almost 20 years ago.  Mrs. Steblecki worked for over 20 years for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Manhattan, NY, retiring as an Assistant Comptroller.  A most proud and devoted Mom, she was a devout Roman Catholic and sought out a membership at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Revere.   Until recently she was most active in the church.  Two of her daughters, Edith & Elaine are totally involved within the music ministry at the church.  She is the wife of the late, William Steblecki, who passed away in 1993.  She is the cherished & devoted mother to, Barbara A., Edith J. & Elaine A. Steblecki all of Melrose.  She is also the dear sister of Edith Klucewicz of Whiting, NJ & Veronica Gallins of New Jersey.  Several loving nieces & nephews also survive her.  Alice was often entertained & comforted by the Boston Catholic Television Network. Interment will be held privately in New Jersey.  In Lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to: St. Mary of the Assumption Church Restoration Fund, 670 Washington Ave Revere, MA 02151

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
