Andrew R. McCarrick

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Saturday, January 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in the Vertuccio and Smith, Home for Funerals 773 Broadway (Rt. 107) REVERE for Andrew J. McCarrick, who died on Sunday, January 19th at the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington after a brief illness of Heart Disease, he was 59 years old. A funeral mass will follow the visitation in the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) REVERE at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be Private.

Andy was born in Chelsea & raised in Revere. As a young boy he attended Immaculate Conception School in Revere and later St. Dominic Savio High School, Class of 1978. Andy went onto Stonehill College and earned a B.A. in Business Administration. Education was very important to him and he went on to earn his MBA from the University of Southern New Hampshire, also in Business. All of his working career, Andy worked in the Meat Distribution Sales. He worked for James Derba in Chelsea, as well as Sysco. He was still currently employed with the Shaheen Brothers in Amesbury as a Vice President of Sales, until his health declined recently. Andy had lived in Revere, New Hampshire, Boxford and then Scottsdale, Arizona. He returned to the Boston area in 2019 with much enthusiasm & optimism. He was delighted to be surrounded by his mother, siblings, nieces & nephew. Although he lived in many different places throughout his life, home was always with his family.

He is the loving & proud son of Eleanor F. (Gaffny) McCarrick of Wayland, formerly of Stoneham & the late Robert A. McCarrick. Loving brother of Nancy A. Hurley & husband Brian of Wayland, John F. McCarrick & wife Nancy H. of Boston & Susan D. Sansone. Cherished uncle of Meghan, Katherine, Ellen, Daniel, Caroline, Rachel, Kathleen & Hannah. He is also lovingly survived by many loving cousins, friends & extended family.

Interment

Interment is Private

    My heart breaks for you Auntie Eleanor and my cousins Nancy, John and Susan. I’ve been praying for Andy’s soul. May he rest in the arms of the Lord and be greeted by Uncle Bobby in heaven.

    Eternal rest grant unto Andy, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, especially Andy, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
