Anthony R. Piccadaci

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, October 2nd from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway(Rte 107) , REVERE, for Anthony R. Piccadaci, who died following a lengthy illness, on Sunday, September Piccadarci, Anthony27th at Boston’s Mass. General Hospital. His funeral mass will follow the visitation at the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.),REVERE at 11:30 a.m.

Born in Boston’s North End, he attended schools in Boston & lived in the North End, until coming to Revere in 1978. Anthony loved to work the flea market circuit for many years. His devoted & beloved wife of 35 (thirty-five) years, Donna-Marie (Ventola) Piccadaci, a hairstylist by profession owned & operated “Donna’s Beauty & Gift Shoppe” in Somerville for over fifteen years. Her husband, Anthony acted as chief buyer, salesman, & chief sanitary engineer (janitor) for the shop, as they worked side-by side. And, then, his childhood diabetes, returned with vengeance and rendered him not only temporarily unable to work, but eventually, permanently retired. Anthony suffered with quiet dignity, the loss of both legs and the resignation of having to rely on others, for help and assistance.

Besides his dear wife, he is survived by three adoring daughters, Lisa M.Piccadaci-Silva & her husband, Jamerson of Peabody, Krista R. Piccadaci-Manaog & her husband, Dennis of Wakefield & Lori A.Piccadaci of Revere. He is the devoted brother of Phyllis Piccadaci, Concetta “Connie” Giambusso & her husband, Frank all of South Boston & the late: Gaetano Piccadaci.He is also lovingly survived by his very special grandaughter, Ivy A.O’Donnell , two most special nephews, Jack Giambusso & his wife,Jane of South Boston, Carl Giambusso & his wife, Bella of Medford & his joyful blessing, his Godchild, Mya. Many other nieces,nephews,grand-nieces & grand-nephews survive him

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
