Brian R. Crawford

Funeral Services were held privately due to the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, for Brian R. Crawford, who died on Sunday, April 19th at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston due to multi organ failure, he was 51 years old.

Brian was a lifelong East Boston resident. He was educated in Boston Public Schools & was an alumnus of East Boston High School, Class of 1986. Brian worked for Comcast as a Customer Services Representative for approximately 10 years before health issues resulted in him no longer being able to work. One of Brian’s passions was coaching kids. He was a longtime East Boston Little League Coach & East Boston Pop Warner Football.  Brian was “Eastie Proud”, and coaching was his way to give back to his community. He also loved being with his family and friends.

He is the beloved son of Celia (LoRusso) Plagenza & her husband Joseph Plagenza of East Boston & the late Joseph R. Crawford. Devoted husband of Cheryl A. (Borrelli) Crawford of East Boston. Loving father of Joshua R. Crawford of East Boston, Peter P. Penney & wife Melanie of Revere, Daniel A. Penney of Bangor, ME & Stefanie M. Penney of Revere. Cherished grandfather of Michael Penney. Dear brother of Maria Crawford & Robert Crawford both of East Boston. He is also lovingly survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and many former players & friends.

    As a dad I entrusted my young son to the care of Coach Brian it was a great decision. The kindness and concern Coach had for my son and the other players made them all feel like they all were important. My son sends his condolence with a heavy heart .So long big guy.

Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
