Bruno Balliro

Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Friday, August 18th in St. Anthony of Padua Church (250 Revere St.), Revere at 11:00 a.m., for Bruno Balliro, who passed on Saturday, August 12th at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, unexpectedly. Mr. Bruno had just celebrated his 76th birthday on August 11th.

Born & raised in Boston’s North End, he worked as a laborer with his family in construction before owning & operating his own business, the infamous “Intermission Lounge” in Boston’s Downtown.

He is the beloved husband of Dolores M. (Malta) Balliro & the devoted father of Joseph Dax Balliro of Revere, Anthony Balliro of New Hampshire, Bruno “Bubba”, Jr. of Haverhill, Scott Balliro of Florida, Frank Balliro of Methuen, Dean Balliro of New Hampshire & the late Angela Balliro & Derek Balliro. He is the dear brother of Frances Bent of Wilmington, Lucy “Lullu” Winship of Plymouth & the late,
Mary Tzannos, Rosario C. “BillY” Balliro, Rocco, Frank, Joseph, & Rudy Balliro & the late Josephine Novello, Florence Monteforte & Rosalie Foye. He is also the loving grandfather of Jacqueline “Jackie” Balliro of Florida. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews. Interment will be held latter and privately.

    So so sorry to hear of this. Bruno was my uncle, but more like a brother. I was even older than him. He was a great guy. We had some fantastic times. RIP.

    Uncle Bruno was like my older brother. I grew up with him. He will be greatly missed. So many great memories. I’ll see him again.

We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
