Connie A. (Minichiello) DiCesare

Certainly, residents and former residents of 30 Pratt Place, Revere, will long remember, the feisty little lady who was superintendent of their building into her late 80s. However, not only were her duties administrative, they were of all categories. “Connie” was the one they called at all hours of the day & night for faulty electric appliances to plumbing situations, which included clogged sinks, bathtubs & hoppers. Her response was always a quick jarb, “ok, ok, I’ll fly right up …” Her knowledge of maintenance came as a young girl on Chelsea St., East Boston, who kept her parent’s properties in pristine shape. Connie passed in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 24th at the Lafayette Nursing Horne of Marblehead as a result of complications, arising from advanced Alzheimer’s Dementia. All services were private & interment with her late beloved husband, Nunzio “Gunner” DiCesare will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is the cherished mother to Frederick “Fred” DiCesare & his wife, Diane of Pembroke, Robert DiCesare & his late wife, Andrea of Brooklyn, N.Y. & David DiCesare & his wife, Marsha of Salem. She is the devoted grandmother to Traci, Jessica, Jason, Alyssa, Michael & Brendan. She is also lovingly survived by her 5 great-grandchildren, Lawson, Andrea, Patrick, Abigail and Caroline. Many nieces & nephews also survive her. She was the daughter of the late Salvatore & Annunziata “Nancy” (Scherma) Minichiello & the sister of the late Ralph, Pasquale “Pat” & Salvatore Minichiello & the late, Yolanda “Yola” Zecchino & Louise Tasha.

Funeral Services were Private.

Remembrances may be made to The Brookhouse Home, 180 Derby St., Salem, MA 01970 or by visiting www.brookhousehome.com.

Connie, I want to say “Thank You” for being my friend throughout the years. I will never forget you and will treasure the wonderful memories of our times together. You and Nunu were always there for me and others who may have needed help with something. You were always there to lend anyone a helping hand. I’ll never forget our days on the steps as Josh and the other building children ran around playing out front. We had some great 4th of July parties with awesome food and Wiffle Ball games. You will be truly missed and I hope you’re resting now.

    Love Sandy

I just found out you passed away. I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to come to your funeral. My Richie died in June 2019 too. I then moved out of state. You were a true friend and like a grandmother too to me. I loved spending my days on the steps while Josh ran around playing by himself and with other kids in the building. I loved our 4th of July parties at Pratt Place with the Wiffle Ball games, good food and your company. After we moved to our house I love that you came over to visit and spend time with us. You and Nunzio were always there to help when me or anyone needed help. I will always remember the good times we had together and I love you and will miss you. I’m so sorry to your whole family for their incredible loss. We will see each other again in Heaven someday. All my love, Sandy .

Connie, I’m so sad to see that you have passed. You were like a grandmother to me for many years and I will never forget all the things we did together from playing Dominos on the bench outside, endless games of War and Go Fish, running through sprinklers you let me help set up with you in the summers, playing with all your wonderful grandchildren and just sitting around in “my country” in the back lot laughing about the stupidest things every day. You have a very special place in my heart and I’m sorry for your family, I know they love you so very much. You were so kind and a special woman, thank you for all you for us back then. RIP and I will miss you,

    Love Josh

We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.
On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
Thank you for your friendship and continued support.
God bless you all.
Faithfully,
