Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014 beginning at 3 p.m. through 6:45 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Daniel T. “Danny” Dellascio, who died unexpectedly at his Lynn residence on Friday, July 18th, at 45 years.  The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home following the visitation, at 7 p.m.  Interment is private.  Born & raised in Revere, “Danny” lived here until moving to Lynn in 1999.  He was a 1987 alumnus of Revere High School.  Following graduation, he entered the work force with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier.  His work took him to the neighborhoods of Revere, East Boston, & Winthrop.  “Danny” was a member of the National American Letter Carriers’ Union.  An avid sportsman, he was a banner fan of the New England Patriots & Boston Bruins.  He genuinely enjoyed the game of football, & the New England Patriots were his “Hallmark.”  He was overwhelmed when he would attend his daughter Adrianna’s hockey games, as well as his son Danny’s hockey games.  He is the beloved husband of 17 years to Lauren B. (Nolan) Dellascio.  He is the cherished father of Adrianna M. & Danny S. Dellascio, both of Lynn.  He is the dear brother to Phillip Fraga, Elizabeth Bodish, Kevin, Edward & Joseph Dellascio, & Mary Orsini.  He is the devoted son-in-law of retired Boston Police Lieutenant Herbert “Herbie” Nolan & Barbara (Perry) Nolan of Medford & Las Vegas, Nevada.  He is also lovingly survived by his uncle, Ronald Perry of Medford, his sister-in-law, Melissa A. Nolan of West Virginia, & his faithful “best buddy,” Paul Clapp of Florida, & also by many nieces & nephews.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, One Bulfinch Place, Boston, MA 02114-2931.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
