Dean L. Rogerson

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, February 3rd in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107), REVERE for Dean L. Rogerson, beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service in the funeral home at 11 :15 a.m., followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Mr. Rogerson died on Friday, January 20th at Cape Cod Hospital of Hyannis, following a lengthy illness, although unexpectedly.

Born in Winthrop, he was raised & educated in Revere & spent all of his life in Revere until moving to Sagamore, MA with his family about ten years ago. Most of his working career was as a “finish carpenter” for several local construction firms. He was a 1984 graduate of Revere High School.

He was the beloved son of the late Donald L. Rogerson, Sr. & Gwen R. (Prior) Rogerson. He is the devoted brother of Donald L. Rogerson, Jr. & Edwin P. “Ted” Rogerson, both of Sagamore & the late Dana L. Rogerson who died on May 31, 2016, following a tragic auto accident. He is the cherished uncle to Peter Lastih, Melissa Rogerson & Nolan Rogerson, all of Sagamore. He is also lovingly survived by several aunts, uncles & cousins.

Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
