Denise M. “Dee” (Hayes) Carnazzo

Family & friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St., Everett, on Wednesday, November 14th at 1:00 p.m. for Denise M. “Dee” (Hayes) Carnazzo, who passed on Friday, November 9, 2018, following a yearlong battle with Metastatic cancer Disease. Denise passed at Boston’s Brigham & Womens’ Hospital.

Born & raised in Somerville, she was a 1983 Alumna of Everett High School. The family spent time in Somerville, before moving ~ to Everett. Dee moved to Revere 4 years ago. In 1986, Denise graduated from Youville Hospital School of Nursing. Over the years, her nursing career was spent at several local nursing homes, i.e. Lighthouse Nursing Center of Revere & Woodlawn Manor Nursing Center of Everett. She also did agency work as well. She retired from nursing in 2008.

She is the devoted mother of Dennis M. Hayes &his wife, Elaine of Everett & Christina M. Carnazzo of Everett. She is also the adored grandmother to Dennis T. Hayes of Dracut & Autumn Rose Leonard of Everett. She is the dear sister to Gerald F. “Jay” Hayes & his wife, Linda of Everett, Lorraine D. Hanscomb of Revere, David S. Hayes & his wife, Theresa of Raymond, NH., & Douglas M. Hanscomb & his wife, Laura of Ware, NH. The daughter of the late Frances A. (Fucile) DiPlatzi &the late Gerald F. Hayes, Sr. “Dee” has many loving nieces & nephews. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted, at “Dee’s” own request.

    to the best aunt I will ever have .. I will miss you forever and have comfort knowing you always be looking over me .. you were the one family member in my life who didn’t allow anything to get in between your relationship with us .. I will forever be grateful to have had the love you have always given .. rest in the sweetest peace you beautiful angel.

We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.
On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
