Dr. Mohammad Taleghani

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Thursday, March 24th at 1:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St. Teleghani, MohammedEverett for Dr. Mohammad Taleghani, who passed away on Tuesday, March 2nd, with his family by his side.

Born in Tehran, Iran on December 21, 1931, the oldest of nine children. Dr. Taleghani graduated from Tehran University Medical School and had a 50 year distinguished career in pulmonary medicine, retiring in 2012. Dr. Taleghani began his medical career in the United States as an intern at the Chelsea Soldiers Home, where he met his first wife, Marilyn Kelly, who was working as a nurse. Dr. Taleghani and Marilyn Kelly were married in 1961. Over the course of their marriage, they lived in Washington DC and Maryland and traveled extensively. After his retirement, Dr. Taleghani moved to Bowling Green Kentucky, where he met and married Sudebah Minou. Dr. Taleghani’s life was dedicated to caring for his beloved family and patients. He was a dynamic man of great courage and intelligence and his warmth, inspiration and laughter will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Soudabeh, and four children, daughters Lisa Mary Bonaiuto and her husband Steven Bonaiuto, Marilyn Shirin Taleghani and his sons, Dr. Christopher Kelly Taleghani and his twin daughters Raquel Faulkner and late Sabrina Faulkner, and Richard Abbas Taleghani and his wife Jeanne and step son Ray. He is also survived by his sisters Azam and her husband Ahmed Razaghi, Fahti Nariman and her husband Ali, and brothers, Dr. Mehdi Adham and his wife Behnaz and Dr. Abdul Adham and his wife Sahi. Dr. Taleghani was the patriarch of a large family, including many cousins, nieces and nephews. Dr. Taleghani was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Marilyn Taleghani and his sisters Mali Tehran, Nahead Adham and Masum Adham and Abdol Adham.

(Please meet directly at the cemetery at 1:15 p.m.)

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
