Eleanor R. Felt

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, November 19th, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church, Revere, for Eleanor R. “Ellie” Felt, who died following a brief illness at the Lighthouse Nursing & Care Center on Saturday, November 10th, at 95 years.  Interment was in the family lot at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  “Ellie” was born & raised in Malden, schooled there & came to reside in Revere over 70 years ago.  She had an early working career as a candy packer for Schrafft’s Candy of Charlestown.  She was a devotee of the Immaculate Conception Parish Family for over 60 years, serving as a “Eucharistic Minister” & committee member for the many fund raisers at I.C.C., for the building of the “new convent” in the late 1960’s.  She was the wife of the late, Retired Revere Patrolman John A. Felt, who died in February of 1995.  She is the Devoted Mother of: John A. Felt, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Donna M. Roman & her husband William of Saugus, Eleanor A. Garofalo & her husband John of Revere, Mark E. Felt of Revere, & the late Stephen M. Felt.  She was the dear Sister of the late: Peter, Rico, Marty, & Rudy Cortese.  She is the Cherished Grandmother of: Jennifer A. Giordano & her husband Gary of Saugus, Robert P. Donnelly & his wife Sandra of Meredith, NH, Jason M. Donnelly & his wife Rhoda of Haverhill, MA & James M. Garofalo & his wife Colleen of Lynn.  She is also lovingly survived by 10 Great-Grandchildren & several nieces & nephews.  Remembrances may be made to the: Patients’ Activities Fund at Lighthouse Nursing Care Center, 204 Proctor Ave., Revere, MA 02151.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
