Frank Petrucelli

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Tuesday, August 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107), REVERE, for Frank Petrucelli, who passed following a brief illness on Thursday, August 10th at Wingate of Andover. His funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, August 16th from the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., REVERE at 11:00 a.m.

Born & raised in East Boston, he was a member of the class of 1936 at East Boston High School. Frank & his dear families were natives of Jeffries’ Point, East Boston all their lives, until moving to North Reading 23 years ago. From his early youth, until his untimely passing, he would qualify to become an award-winning time-keeper, score-keeper for all of our beloved Boston Sports Teams. Next to his dear family & his God, sports took the lead. However, to capture on paper his feelings & love of family would be an impossible task. In this rushed and often unfeeling society, Frank stands above the rest for his continued celebration of family, family ties & family traditions. His place in the work world is marked, particularly for his work ethic and the zeal he inspired to many colleagues. He was an institution at Portland Pipe & Supply – Nationwide for over 50 years as their General Sales Manager. He retired at age 76. Over the years, he received many commendations and awards for service above and beyond. Frank passed on August 10th, 2017, exactly 15 years to the day that Jennie passed in 2002.

He is the cherished father of Robert N. Petrucelli & his wife, Claire M. (Moynihan) Petrucelli of Norwell & Lorraine C. D’Agostino & her husband, Edward J. of North Reading, with whom, Frank made his home. He is the devoted grandfather of Michele L. Sabbia of North Reading, Robert M. Petrucelli & his wife, Jeanna of Norwell, Edward J. D’Agostino, Jr. of North Reading & Kristine K. Campbell & husband Charles “Chuck” of Hanover. Also lovingly survived by his sister-in-law, Margaret Landolfi of North Reading & his ten (10) great grandchildren; John M. Sabbia, Marisa M. Sabbia & Nic E. Sabbia, all of North Reading; Robbie M. Petrucelli, Ryan J., Luke M., Nolan A. & Jennie M. Petrucelli, all of Norwell, Kylie C. & Charlie R. Campbell, both of Hanover. He was the dear brother to the late Rose Consalvi, Lucy Albanese, Josephine Ciampolillo & Anthony Petruccelli. Many caring nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews also survive Frank. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Community Mausoleum, Malden.

    Aug 13 2017

Papa it has been three days since you passed and went to Heaven. Our home is empty without you. You were the glue that held this family together. You and Grandma brought us up with so many valuable morals and ethics. You lived your life as God would want you to live. You always treated others well and made them feel your warmth and sincerity. We will continue to live in the way that you taught us, but it will never be the same without you. I hold you in my heart forever until we meet again. Rest in peace Papa. You are in God’s hands, and I know you are safe and with those we love that have gone before us. God bless you Papa, my second Dad.

Love, Michele, John, Marisa and Nic, Lorraine and Eddie, and Edward Jr.

Send your condolences.

To all our families, friends, and residents of Revere, East Boston, and surrounding communities of the North Shore,

We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.
On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
Thank you for your friendship and continued support.
God bless you all.
Faithfully,

Your friends at Vertuccio Smith and Vazza.
