Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 19th, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere, for Judith A. (Fenno) MacDonald, who died on Saturday, January 12th at the Don Orione Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of East Boston, following a long illness, at 69 years.  Born in Revere on July 13th, 1943, she was a life long Revere resident & and alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1961.  She worked for Broadway National Bank as a Mortgage Counselor for over 15 years, retiring in 2002.  Her early work was as a Massachusetts Registered Phlebotomist, at Boston Medical Center during the 1960’s & early seventies.  She was a faithful & devoted Mother, who spent the majority of her life caring for her children.  She is the Cherished Mother of, Michele A. MacDonald of Revere & the late Michael C. MacDonald.  She was the daughter of the late, Amelia J. “Teddy” (Tedeschi) Fenno & the late Ralph F. Fenno.  She is also lovingly survived by her former husband, Samuel H. MacDonald of Revere & several caring Cousins.  Interment is private.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to: Massachusetts General Hospital (Lung Cancer Research), Development Office, 165 Cambridge St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114, ATTN: Dr. Fidias & Dr. Choi.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
