Julia J. DaSilva
Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Wednesday, May 31st from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, for Julia J. DaSilva, who passed following a lengthy battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer, on Thursday, May 25th at Boston’s Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Her Funeral Service will follow the visitation in the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.
Born & raised in the Azores of Portugal, she & her family came to this country in 1978, settling in Everett & then in Revere. She was a 1984 graduate of Everett High School. She also lived for a brief time in Somerville. All of her working career was spent in retail merchandising. For 15 (fifteen) years, she was an assistant buyer for Marshall’s Corp., serving in various stores throughout the area. Julia was most proud of her Portuguese heritage & was an advocate for the promotion & maintenance of old world customs, family closeness & a fine work ethic. She was never late, whether work or play, and she drilled into her beloved three children, the gifts of family & extended family. She had a passion for shopping, especially for her children & most especially for the light of her life, her grandson, Luiz. For almost 20 years, Julia was blessed to have finally met her soul mate, her fiancée, John P. Buccelli. They had a unique relationship, inasmuch as they thoroughly enjoyed each other’s presence in all situations. John & Julia thoroughly enjoyed the “high-end” aspect of life. Whether it be choice of restaurants, gourmet food shops, or shopping centers and plazas- they were drawn to the best adventures.
Besides her fiancée and soul mate, John P. Buccelli of Somerville, she leaves her large family. She is the adoring Mother to Osmar Aguiar of Everett, Kasandra Aguiar of Revere & Benjamin David Michael of Nashville, TN. She is the cherished daughter to Maria Valentina DaSilva of Somerville & the late Manuel DaSilva. She is the dear sister of Natalino L. DaSilva of Cailfornia, Valdemar DaSilva of Woburn, Jose M. & Fatima M. DaSilva, both of Somerville, Victor T. & Rosa DaSilva both of Everett, Paula Bienvenu of Pelham, New Hampshire & the late Victor M. & Manuel A. DaSilva. She is also survived by her Grandson Luiz Aguiar of Revere & many other relatives in Portugal. Entombment at Woodlawn Community Mausoleum & Columbarium, Everett will be held privately at a later time.
Anna,

Love,
Ruby
