June M. (Peters) Salie
Family & friends are invited to visit with the family of Thursday, March 21st, 2013 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for June M. (Peters) Salie, who died on Saturday, March 16th following a brief illness at the Whidden Memorial Hospital, at 76 years. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, following the visitation. Interment will be private. Born & raised in Revere, she was a 1954 alumna of Revere High School. A devoted Mom, Grandmother, & Great-Grandmother, she was also the best friend to many & enjoyed a large extended family. She is the devoted & cherished Mother of, June M. Wareham & her husband William R. Wareham, Catherine A. Salie & John H. Salie all of Revere, & the late Karen T. DeStefano. She is the Dear Sister of Louise Finnegan & her husband Thomas of Saugus, Mary Coggswell & her late husband, Norman E. “Spider” of Revere, & the late Althea Peters. She is also lovingly survived by 8 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, & a large extended family of friends. June was a longtime member of the Revere League for Special Needs & a past officer in that organization. Because of her deep involvement with Revere Special Needs, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made to the Revere League for Special Needs, 200 Winthrop Ave., Revere, MA 02151.

I can never put it into words how I felt about you you will be greatly missed
To the family of June, we will miss our friend coming to see us at Luigi’s. She was a devoted mom and dear friend to all who knew her. We will treasure your memory forever. Frank, Candy, Justin,James, Karen, Muffy, Sue and ALL your friends at Luigi’s. God Bless you and rest in Peace.
June was one of the first people to welcome me into the Oak Island neighborhood. She welcomed me not just into the neighborhood but into her family.
My deepest condolences to the Salie and Gogswell families. June was a very caring and loving women who devoted her life to those in need.
