Kevin J. Citino

Family & friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours on Thursday, September 22nd from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals 773 Broadway (Rt. 107) REVERE for Kevin J. Citino, who died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, September 17th, he was 68 years old. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, September 23rd at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave) REVERE at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.

Kevin was born in Boston to his late parents, Vito Citino, Jr. & Doris Alberta (Wilson) Citino, one of four children. He was raised & educated in Revere. He attended the Immaculate Conception Grammar School, then went onto Revere High School. Kevin, early on knew that he liked working with his hands. He became a carpenter and through the years he mastered his craft and became an excellent carpenter and worked for himself most of his life, He thoroughly enjoyed fixing & repairing things. He also enjoyed listening to music, playing darts & going fishing. He always participated in his children lives & their activities that they were involved in.

He is the beloved father of Brenda R. Citino & her husband Eddie Irizarry of Winthrop, Anthony R. Citino of Revere, & Nicole F. Citino & her companion Robert Miscioscia of Everett. He is the cherished grandfather of Andres Irizarry of Winthrop, Daniel J. Cooke & fiancé Leiana Rogers of Everett, Aryanna Irizarry of Winthrop, Christopher L. Citino of Everett, & Dominic F. Citino of Everett & great grandfather of Cecilia Catherine.  He is the dear brother of Laurel F. Costello & her husband Robert “Bob” of Revere and the late Dolores A. Walsh & her husband Charles, & Richard J. Citino. He is the devoted longtime companion of Bernadette “Bernie” Moore of Revere. He is also lovingly survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, & many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
