Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, July 7th, 2014 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Larry G. Flynn, who died following a long illness at his Revere home on Thursday, July 3rd, at 65 years.  His funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 8th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere, at 10:30 a.m.  Born in Goffstown, New Hampshire on August 7, 1948, he lived in N.H. until moving to Revere over 35 years ago.  Early in his working career, he worked for the Everett Fire Department as an auto mechanic & later went to work for “Sky Chef” at Logan Airport.  Declining health issues necessitated an early retirement in 2007.  Larry was a former longtime member of the Malden Moose Lodge.  He is the adored husband & best friend to Lois A. (Adamson) Flynn for almost 35 years.  He is the proud father of Larry G. Flynn, Jr. of Revere.  He is the beloved brother of: Eugene Smith of Epsom, NH, Patsy Kuklak & her husband Joseph of Ft. Fairfield, Maine, Kianah Currier of Somersworth, NH, Anne Nadeau & her husband Daniel of Stewartstown, NH, & the late, Fred Fuller & Edward H. Flynn, Jr.  He is also lovingly survived by his brothers-in-law: Frederick H. Adamson of Revere, Walter H. Adamson, Jr. & his wife Gayle of Peabody, & the late Joseph W. Adamson.  He is also the special uncle to Joseph M. & Nicholas D. Adamson of Peabody, & several other nephews & nieces.  Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Revere League for Special Needs, 200 Winthrop Ave., Revere, MA 02151.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
