Louise L. (McGurin) Sarro

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, July 24th, 2013 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Louise L. “Lou” (McGurin) Sarro, who died after an eight month struggle with metastatic cancer, on Sunday, July 21st at the Lighthouse Nursing & Medical Center of Revere, at 69 years.  Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 25th, followed by the Funeral Service in the Funeral Home at 11 a.m.  Born & raised in Revere, she was a 1962 alumna of Revere High School.  For over 14 years, “Lou” was an employee of Marston Corporation.  After she retired from Marston, she began a new career as a cafeteria worker at Revere’s Garfield School, where she remained until her untimely death.  While at Marston Corp., she worked within the Human Resources Division.  Her quiet efficiency & personality won her many friends & loving colleagues.  She is the beloved wife of 49 years to: Francis C. “Fran” Sarro.  The cherished mother of Francis C. “Frank” Sarro, Jr. & his wife Tina, & the devoted Grandmother to: Jessica L. & Christian E. Sarro, all of Haverhill.  She is the Dear sister of, Geraldine Lank & her late husband William of Huntington Beach, California, Antoinette Leahy & her husband Frank of Medford, & Roberta Kedzierski & her late husband Kenneth of Phoenix, Arizona.  She is also lovingly survived by several nieces, nephews, friends & colleagues.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Remembrances may be made to your favorite charity.

Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
