Margie Capone was a truly wonderful woman with an amazing soul. We were privileged to know her as our cousins’ aunt, but we loved her enough to wish that she could have been our aunt too. Margie was a gentle person, but she was also someone who could speak her mind. Her wisdom wouldn’t allow stupidity to go unchallenged, and we admired her as much for her honesty as for her deep kindness. We have so many fond memories of her. One of our favorites goes back to John’s wedding when one big wedding party wasn’t enough for her as she invited all of us over to her Revere condo’s rec room to continue the celebration. Margie really knew how to celebrate. Another favorite memory is of our visit to her New Hampshire condo one bright summer Sunday. We felt like part of the family as we enjoyed swapping stories with Margie, her sons and their wives. Margie had cooked a veritable Italian feast for us, and her food was ever so delicious. We are saddened that she had to watch as Ricky went through such a devastating illness and death. Margie appeared at his funeral in her wheelchair, and when we spoke to her, she was her usual astonishing person of faith and courage. Certainly God already had a special place in Heaven chosen for her, one beside her beloved husband Richie and son Ricky. We’ll miss you, Margie. You’ve run the race, and your reward is eternal peace in God’s Kingdom.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of our dear Auntie Margie. We have so may wonderful memories of her, Uncle Richie, Ricky, and Johnnie when we were growing up. We always loved to hear her stories of the old neighborhood and the times that our parents would double date back in the day. Many times she would tell us stories of our parents that we didn’t even know. She was so bright, vibrant, and a spitfire to the end. We loved her deeply and we will miss her presence. May she continue to watch over us until we meet again in heaven.

Rest In Peace. With love, Bob, Rosemarie, and George Capone.

We know that we can’t make your pain go away, but we want you to know that we are here for you with a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen with, or anything else you may need. Know that Mrs. Capone loved and was loved by many individuals. She will truly be missed. Be at rest knowing she is among so many who have waited to see her in her next journey beyond this physical world. She enters the realm of the spiritual world where all of us will eventually meet one day. Let us keep her memory close and by doing so never forget her love and personality. It is through such sharing and remembrances that memories of ourselves can never die.

We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.
On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
Thank you for your friendship and continued support.
God bless you all.
Faithfully,

Your friends at Vertuccio Smith and Vazza.
