Marie A. (Vellucci) Chiles-Mason

In Revere, February 5th, following a lengthy illness at 83 years. Beloved wife of 54 years to Kenneth J. Mason & the late Edward J. Chiles. Cherished mother to James E. Chiles & his wife, Christine of North Andover & Kevin J. Chiles & his wife Kristine of Revere. Devoted grandmother of Janelle Silk & her husband Dustin of North Andover, Britney Francis & her husband Jeffrey of East Hampstead, NH, Stephanie Chiles & Jamie Leigh Chiles, both of North Andover, Kevin J. Chiles, Jr. & Emily Anne Chiles, both of Revere. Dear sister to Cosmo D. Vellucci & his late wife Maureen of Malden, Patricia J. Carrasquillo & her late husband, Juan & Anne C. Rodriguez & her late husband Efrain “Fred”, all of Revere. Also lovingly survived by her 3 great-grandsons, Patrick, Connor & Jack Silk, all of North Andover & proudly survived by Barbara Mason of San Jose, CA & many nieces & nephews.

Family & friends are invited to attend the Visitation in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) REVERE on Wednesday, Feb. 10th from 5-7 p.m. Parking available left of the funeral home. Due to the ongoing pandemic, all protocols will be strictly adhered to i.e. face masks must be worn at all times in the funeral home, in church & on the cemetery grounds. Social distancing must be maintained. All are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, Feb. 11th in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., REVERE at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Attendees are instructed to report directly to church.

Marie was a longtime devotee of the St. Anthony of Padua Parish Community, Revere.


Services

Visiting Hours

Face masks must be worn at all times & social distancing must be maintained in the funeral home. All attendees are required to provide their name and phone number for contact tracing and temperatures will be checked prior to entering the funeral home. Only 25 people are allowed in the Funeral Home at one time. Guests are asked to visit briefly and to exit the funeral home to allow others to enter.

Wednesday, February 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.

We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
